In a Season where Telesto glitched more times than ever, it seems very fitting that Destiny 2 players started discovering a wide array of strange bugs happening within the game. This is often caused by the fact that there is an incredible number of elements to account for when it comes to all the possible interactions occurring when two or more of those come into play at the same time. A very weird glitch caused Destiny 2 players to be banned when it was reproduced, or they could at least be suspended for a couple of weeks from competitive activities, and the Rutabaga error popped up.

This was caused by alt-tabbing out of the game while playing PvP activities or if reducing or dragging around the window with Destiny 2 active if players were playing in windowed mode. This is just one of the examples from the findings in Season of the Lost, and now a player found out that there is a very odd connection between Solar Warlocks' Phoenix Dive and the basic action of sliding.

A Reddit user by the name of retrorampage37 shared a post on the platform stating how they discovered that they couldn't slide right after activating Phoenix Dive and for a few seconds after that. In fact, there seems to be a glitch in Destiny 2 that causes the cooldown on Phoenix Dive to apply to sliding as well, with the action becoming available to be performed once a few seconds pass. This seems to be a glitch because there is no indication whatsoever that the two should be connected in any way or form, and the issue does not happen while the Daybreak Super is active.

The glitch also doesn't happen with the most similar ability in the game, the Stasis Hunters' Shatterdive, which also can be activated while mid-air, causing players to hit the floor at high velocity. As retrorampage37 pointed out in the post, this glitch can easily lead to several deaths while playing PvP modes, including Trials of Osiris, and it should be fixed as soon as possible.

This is just one of many unusual interactions found by players, such as Malfeasance dealing more damage against targets affected by Witherhoard. It's unclear if these combinations are glitches, however, seeing how Bungie didn't acknowledge either yet. Still, it would only make sense if they were bugs, and thus players should expect to see them fixed in the near future.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
