Destiny 2 is one of those games where loot is a major part of the experience, as it provides all the tools necessary for players to come up with different builds and combinations. There are all sorts of items that help achieve just that, ranging from crafting materials like Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards to the various sets of armor and all the weapons. This long list becomes even longer when players have to factor in all the Exotics that Destiny 2 has to offer, both in terms of guns and class-specific armor pieces.

With the Shadowkeep expansion that came to Destiny 2 a bit over two years ago now, players were introduced to the Armor 2.0 update that made each piece of gear much more relevant. This was achieved by employing armor stats and the addition of Masterwork armor, which grants more energy for players to spend on their mods, as well as +2 to each individual stat on the piece when Masterworking it. Exotics got the same treatment, and most can also be farmed in Legend and Master Lost Sector to get better base rolls on them.

A Reddit user by the name of AGoodman shared on the platform a screenshot of their newly acquired god roll Starfire Protocol, an Exotic chest armor for the Warlocks. The roll is especially incredible because it has a total stat value of 70, which in and of itself is extremely high, and it is also perfectly distributed between the two main stats for the piece - Recovery and Discipline. The Recovery roll is 32, while the Discipline one is 29, making them go up to 34 and 31 respectively once the item will be Masterworked.

Aside from the incredibly lucky drop, some players were quick to note that it could have been a better roll, technically, because the item has a roll of 3 in Resilience, whereas the bare minimum is normally 2. However, Destiny 2 Exotics that came prior to Shadowkeep inherently have bonuses to specific stats, as players can check on the third-party website called light.gg, and so it happens that Starfire Protocol has an intrinsic +1 to Resilience. As such, the item is truly perfectly rolled, and acknowledged by fellow Redditors and Destiny 2 players as the best possible roll to ever exist.

Destiny 2's Exotics are what make each build feel different, both in the armor and the weapon slot, and while Bungie is looking at toning some down with the December patch, including Vex Mythoclast, god rolls like that of AGoodman are not going anywhere. Thus, players can safely farm for more, even if this specific roll is more of an exception than something players should expect to receive.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
