Warmind, the second expansion pack for Destiny 2 finally arrived last week, offering new content for players to dig their teeth into. Alongside the content infusion came Season 3, which has also introduced plenty of free quality of life updates for all players, regardless of DLC purchase or not. The Crucible got a sizable bump with the addition of private matches, as well as two new progression systems with the Quickplay and Competitive playlists. Each offers rewards to those who are able to rank up.

Unfortunately, the new content and updates also caused a few unforeseen issues with the game, some offering players bigger headaches than others. The Warsat public event on Mars features a bug which can block the heroic trigger if players advance the event too quickly. Not only that, a bug can also block player progression after finishing a Heroic Strike, meaning it'll block progression both for the weekly milestone and Sleeper Simulant pursuit.

Speaking of weekly milestones, it's Tuesday which means that there's a whole brand new week of Destiny 2 content to dig into. With a higher Power Cap to get to, earning new powerful rewards will certainly help in that goal. Below, we've listed out everything you need to know during the week of May 15 from the updated Leviathan Raid order, details on the new Nightfall strike, the Flashpoint location, and everything else.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

Nightfall Strike: Strange Terrain

Nightfall Challenges:

  • To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths.
  • Don't Take Five: Don't hold on to the relic for more than 5 seconds after picking it up.

After a week of availability, new content finally comes to the Nightfall Strike. This week, players can partake in Strange Terrain, a campaign mission from the Warmind expansion that takes players into the tunnels of Mars to face off against the Frozen Hive and Xol's necromancer, Nokris.

Considering the content is still pretty fresh, players should be fairly familiar with the mission. At the start, the Fireteam will be descending through various Martian caves, hunting for the necromancer known as Nokris. This is a Hive only mission, so expect plenty of rushing style thralls as well as tankier Knights. Eventually, players will stumble into large green crystals which can only be destroyed by relics. Look for glowing Hive Knights, which drop them upon being defeated. Throw the relic at the crystal to destroy it an move on.

After fighting through more rooms of Hive, players will stumble into another Hive ritual where the Wizard known as Simmumah awaits. Defeat the sub-boss to continue moving through the tunnels into the second boss fight against a large ogre powered by a shield. Players will need to destroy the three crystals powering its shield before fighting the large creature.

With the fight over, players then head into the final room to square off against Nokris. This multi-part battle throws a lot of enemies at players, so keep moving and take cover when needed. With the first block of health gone, Nokris will retreat behind a shield, which players will then need to destroy by throwing a relic at the nearby crystal. This process repeats a few more times before Nokris can ultimately be killed for good.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

Flashpoint Location: Mars

With a new expansion pack out on store shelves, naturally, the Flashpoint has, of course, moved to the Hellas Basin on Mars. Unfortunately, this also prevents non-Warmind owners from being able to complete the milestone for this week, which hur4ts just a bit more than normal considering the powerful rewards are a good way to advance beyond the new soft level cap of 345. Just like the other locations in the game, participate in any Public Events that spawn on Mars. Keep in mind that Escalation Protocol missions do not count towards this milestone.

With the Flashpoint set on Mars, the treasure chests are also open only to Warmind players this week. Speak to Cayde-6 at the Tower to purchase his three treasure maps. As always, the maps activate little treasure icons on the Mars minimap. Even in the new location, the potential loot remains largely the same ranging from rare gear, tokens, and shaders to unique emblems and exotic engrams.

Here's where all three chests can be found:

Glacial Drift

  • Upon loading in, head up the left path towards the large building and little roadway. The treasure is sitting inside an open storage bin.

Braytech Futurescape

  • Spawn into the Futurescape landing zone and immediately head back towards the Glacial Drift zone. In the narrow road passageway, the chest can be found inside an open storage container.
  • From there, head back north into the Futurescape area into the large building with Ana Bray. Your next destination is to the left through the doors with the flashing blue light into a zone known as Aurora Reach. Continue running through the first room, head through the door on the left and then head through a door that leads outside. Avoid or fight the Hive, run through the door with the orange/red floor and continue moving through the small tube into the next room. Once inside Mindlab: Raspitun, run through to the back of the room, head to the right side and run up the scaffolding on the left side. Once at the top, jump to the middle platform, and head to the far side of the platform. The chest is hidden on a small platform that you'll need to jump on a nearby pipe to get to. A lot of work, so hopefully the reward was worth it.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

Along with the new week, comes a brand new Leviathan Raid encounter order. Doing so each week not only helps to keep the experience fresh for veteran players, it also helps players new to the experience get used to the Raid as well as giving them an opportunity to play each part of it. With a new raid on the horizon, expect this section to grow in the coming weeks.

Players looking for a challenge should step into the Gauntlet this week. Make sure to consult our guide to check out tips, tricks, and a walkthrough for how to easily finish the challenge.
