Even though E3 2018 is just a few days away from officially starting, Bungie is kicking things off a little early with a livestream reveal of its next expansion for Destiny 2. While there's still plenty fans don't know, Bungie has continued to tease the content and revealing that players will be meeting up in The Reef once again. A short teaser clip showed the player and Cayde-6 warping into the Awoken base, and finishing by revealing the expansion name to be Forsaken.

As previously rumored, Forsaken takes players back to The Reef, only this time, high-powered enemies have managed to break out of the Prison of Elders. Alongside Cayde-6, players will attempt to put down the prison break by taking on eight Barons, each with their own gameplay unique boss battles. Not only that, the expansion has plenty of new loot, adventures, and changes in an effort to turn Destiny 2 into the game everyone was hoping for last year. This includes a completely overhauled weapons and mods system as well.

In the meantime, there's a faction rally to participate in this week, offering new rewards for allegiences to Dead Orbit, New MOnarchy, or Future War Cult. Not only that, the new week in Destiny 2 also brings with it new objectives and milestones to complete over the next seven days. We've compiled all of the data, challenges, and information and put together this reset guide to reveal what awaits every guardian during the week of June 5 for the Nightfall strike, Flashpoint location, Leviathan Raid order, treasure chests, and much more.

Nightfall Strike Details

Nightfall Strike: The Pyramidion

Nightfall Challenges:

  • To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths.
  • Siege Engine can be completed if players prevent Brakion from being shielded for more than 40 seconds before defeating it.

Nightfall Reward: Silicon Neuroma Sniper Rifle

By now, most players should be aware that The Pyramidion focuses on platforming elements nearly as much as it does combat. Things begin on the combat side of things as players try to hold out and claim a few Vex plates against multiple waves of enemies. After each combat room, players will then have to carefully navigate long corridors that feature insta-death laser beams, some of which rotate around for added difficulty. Naturally, each section gets a little bit tougher the further players go into the strike so players are advised to take their time through these sections.

Before long, the final boss chamber is reached sporting a massive Vex creature known as Brakion. Phase one is the easiest to manage as Brakion stands and shoots at players. Once its health hits a certain point, phase two begins as it retreats behind a shield to recharge. It's at this point that Brakion calls in Vex reinforcements, while players are required to quickly stand on Vex plates to lower its shield.

This process repeats several times until its health reaches 25% where its head will pop off like any normal Vex. Unfortunately, this also makes Brakion more aggressive and much faster than normal. Without a head to shoot at, a new weak point opens up on its stomach so focus fire there to quickly end the fight and getting a chance to potentially unlock the Nightfall specific reward: SIlicon Neuroma.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

Flashpoint Location: Mercury

The Flashpoint milestone for this week is located on Mercury. Naturally, players should head to that location and take part in the Crossroads public event that pops up there from time to time. Make sure to trigger the heroic modifier during the event to provides a slight boost to finishing this quest just a little bit faster. Mercury will also spawn numerous high profile targets for players to eliminate and doing so will count towards the Milestone as well. Once finished, fly back over to the tower to receive an engram from Cayde-6 filled with powerful gear.

With Mercury taking up the Flashpoint for this week, that also means Mercury is the treasure location. That also means Cayde doesn't have his assortment of five maps this week. To get started, visit Cayde at the Tower to purchase his available maps. Upon arriving at Mercury, small spade icons appear on the map, indicating a treasure location. As expected, the loot inside is completely random, sometimes granting unique rewards like an exotic engram or emblem, and sometimes offering lesser goods like rare gear.

Here are the general treasure locations on Mercury:

  • After loading into the only fast travel point, run around to the other side of the Lighthouse platform. After passing by a Vex pool at the lower level, start moving down the platform until the treasure can be found next to a broken gateway not far from that same Vex pool.
  • After that, run (because no Sparrows) along the edge of the map towards the right side of the Infinite Forest entrance. The treasure itself is on a hidden ledge, hanging off the right side of the map. Be careful not to fall off and make sure to consult the minimap to see the exact location.
  • The third and final treasure can be found behind the Infinite Forest entrance structure. So head towards it from the second treasure, but make sure to run around the outside of the structure following a small, narrow ridge. Follow this narrow path to find the third treasure sitting out in the open.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

The weekly refresh also changes up the Leviathan Raid encounter order, keeping the experience fresh for veteran players while also helping newer players who may not have been able to play through the entire encounter.
