Destiny 2 has a wide selection of enemies that players can encounter while exploring different planets or going through playlist activities and quests. Bungie also added a new enemy race back in Forsaken, which only happened once before in the history of the franchise, back when The Taken King expansion was released for Destiny 1. The Scorn also saw the addition of Champions in Destiny 2's most recent Season, Season of the Lost, which revolves around the allegiance between Scorn, Taken, and Xivu Arath's Hive.

Enemy types are at the very core of the experience Bungie designed for Destiny 2, as there are all these races with their own conflicts and goals, and it all fits together from a narrative point of view. Different enemies also translate into more varied gameplay, going from Strikes to Gambit, and of course high-end content, like Raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls. Because enemy races, types, and ranks are so interconnected with what Destiny 2 strives to be, it is only natural that players who are into the game and its story come up with different concepts of their own creation that happen to fit everything so perfectly.

As such, it is all the more striking that a Reddit user by the name of Cugu00 designed a new enemy type for each of Destiny 2's races, apart from the Scorn. The original designs from Cugu00 are inspired by existing enemies and the lore around them, which makes them even more believable, to the point that some Redditors said they would like to see them in the actual game. The first enemy is called "Wasp," and it is a Fallen flying or hovering thanks to a mechanical backpack, making it a potential addition to the race's arsenal of dangerous and fast-moving combatants.

Then, there is the "Siren," which is among the most praised by the community, and it is a Vex enemy unit that applies detrimental status effects and flies like Vex Harpies. The "Onager" is Cabal similar to the existing Colossus in terms of concept, but it likely shoots heavier barrages from its back-mounted mortar. Cugu00 also designed two heavy artillery units, one more oriented towards support and one who acts as a tank, with the first being a very tall Hive creature called "Priest," and the other being a terrifying Taken enemy called "Dissonance."

Some players commented stating how these could easily be introduced to the game, and all of them - except Dissonance - could have a Taken form that's more annoying to fight, which is very credible. It also means players will likely be very excited to encounter Hive Guardians once The Witch Queen expansion drops, on February 22, 2022.

Destiny 2 is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
