While many fans may recognize Nathan Fillion from some of his iconic roles in TV shows like Firefly or video games like Halo: ODST, for many, he's known as providing the voice for the Exo Hunter Vanguard, Cayde-6 in the Destiny franchise. Cayde-6 makes his return in Destiny 2, once again providing a bit of comic relief and mischief as compared to the more stoic characters like Ikora Rey and Commander Zavala. Even though he brings the Hunter to life in the game, fans may be surprised to learn that Fillion actually supports an entirely different class when playing.

In a post on his Instagram account, Nathan Fillion let the world know that he's actually playing a Warlock in Destiny 2, and not a Hunter as most would have likely assumed based on his persona. While it's unknown which subclass he prefers based on the cropped screenshot of his Exo Warlock, Fillion does have the Skull of Dire Ahamkara equipped which may provide a hint. This exotic helm is a Voidwalker specific item, as it provides additional damage resistance and grants bonus super energy from Nova Bomb kills.

What may be even more impressive about this screenshot is that Fillion has managed to increase his character's power level to 280, something that is proving to be a bit more difficult to do once players hit 265. While the max power cap is set to 350, once players reach the soft cap of 265, most gear that drops at that point won't drop beyond power level 270. Players will then need to attempt more endgame content such as the Leviathan Raid or Nightfall in order to continue to increase that power level. Alternatively, weekly milestones also offer Powerful Gear as rewards and reset each Tuesday.

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first case of a voice actor switching classes while playing Destiny 2. Voice actor Lance Reddick, who voices the Awoken Titan Vanguard Commander Zavala, also revealed at a Comic-Con panel back in July that he plays a Warlock as well. No word yet on if Gina Torres, who voices Ikora Rey, continues the Warlock trend or if she breaks from her class as well.

Destiny 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One, and releases on October 24, 2017 for PC.
