In Destiny 2's new seasonal model of drip-feeding content over the course of the season, a new quest went live on the January 14th weekly reset that players are currently working to solve. It is a mystery that could take at least 19 hours, if not longer, to progress to its next step. As always, members of the Destiny 2 community are banding together to solve whatever mysteries this new quest may hold.

To start the quest, players have to pick it up from Osiris at the Sundial on Mercury. Starting the quest sends players back into the Corridors of Time, where they saved Saint-14 earlier in the season. Players may have noticed while playing those missions earlier in the season that there are symbols throughout the many corridors of the environment.

It turns out, those symbols have a purpose and they are the method by which this quest is completed. The other part of this quest involves the new obelisks that appeared throughout the destinations in Season of Dawn. Every hour since the weekly reset, a new combination of symbols have appeared on the obelisks. Using those symbols as a guide, if players run through the marked corridors in a specific order they unlock a piece of Season of Dawn lore and progress the quest.

While it is unknown just how many symbol combinations will appear in total, Destiny 2 fans believe that final number will be 19, based on the fact that there are 19 lore entries in the new Corridors of Time lore book. At the time of this writing, players have solved 15 of the sequences with new sequences expected to continue each hour.

One of the codes also unlocks a special emblem instead of a lore entry called "Savior of the Past": Diamond, Clover, Snake, Plus, Hex, Hex, Plus, Hex, Diamond, Clover, Snake

Unlocking each code also progresses a room of tiles, which may require even more solving once all 19 (or more) symbol sequences are finally unveiled. It is unknown what exactly this quest will ultimately lead to, but some are speculating that it could be an exotic weapon.

Some are speculating it could be the No Time to Explain exotic pulse rifle, which was spotted in one of Destiny 2's behind-the-scenes ViDocs. Others think it could be an exotic sword, which could line up with a rumored exotic heavy weapon currently hidden in the game's database.

Either way, it will take some time to find out exactly what will happen at this quest's conclusion.
