Over these past couple of weeks, Bungie has started to detail how it plans to fix many of the complaints and issues with Destiny 2. The community has been fairly vocal over the last two seasons with regards to the state of the game and Bungie has responded in kind with a plan for quick fixes and things it aims to change over the next few months. This includes hot topic issues like Trials of Osiris, cheaters, the growing bounty problem, the rise of paid content in the Eververse store, and more.

One such topic for Destiny 2 improvement that's gotten a lot of attention lately is centered on Xur, the game's weekend merchant who arrives for a few days to sell exotic items to players. While initially, his arrival excited fans due to the potential of what he could be selling, more recently fans have lost interest due to already owning the exotics or knowing that the items he had in stock just weren't very good. Part of this was due to Xur selling Collection Rolls, items that had stats and perks identical to the ones players could rebuy from their own collection.

In a new post on the Destiny 2 subReddit, one user revived the topic surrounding a potential bug with Xur that prevents him from selling anything but these Armor 2.0 collection rolls. They also list specific examples from previous threads from the community managers commenting on the random rolls situation and how it isn't an easy fix for the team.

However, things have apparently changed as Cozmo23 replied to the threat and revealed that the team working on Xur has found and fixed the bug. This means that starting next season, the exotic merchant will finally start selling exotic gear with randomized rolls, adding a bit excitement to see what is being offered each weekend.

In addition to all the talk about how to fix the game, the studio has begun attempting to hype the community back up with excitement over what's coming in the Fall expansion. This season has brought the Darkness ships back into the forefront of the discussion and various leaks have also indicated that the Fall expansion would finally highlight the often mentioned but still mysterious enemy. Destiny 2 director, Luke Smith, has even broken silence and admitted that fans are not prepared for what's coming. If Bungie is able to hit on all these changes, Destiny 2 may be heading towards a potential renaissance.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
