Since the release of Shadowkeep, Destiny 2's newest expansion, Bungie has added several additional pieces of content to its highly popular looter shooter. This content includes Destiny 2's Garden of Salvation raid and the new Vex Offensive game mode, which are sure to have many players occupied at this time. That said, the developer has even more planned for the month of October, and extensive details have now surfaced about one of these forthcoming offerings: the Leviathan's Breath exotic bow quest.

The Destiny 2 Leviathan's Breath exotic bow quest is set to go live on October 22, and with a main perk that staggers unshielded foes and makes the weapon strong against Unstoppable Champions, the bow looks to pack quite a punch. While players that are familiar with the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep roadmap will not be surprised by the addition of this exotic bow, they may still be curious about the specifics of quest that must be completed in order to obtain it, and those specifics are now available.

The exotic quest for the Leviathan's Breath bow in Destiny 2 begins with a mission called The Back Way, and it tasks players with locating the hidden entrance to Banshee-44's workshop and claiming a bow. Once inside the workshop, players will discover that the bow is kept in a locked case, and this discovery will trigger a mission called Where Are the Keys, Sir that sends players back to talk to Banshee-44.

The Exo then indicates that a new keycode must be generated to open this case, and the first step in this process is a mission called Intro to Safecracking 101 where players must "seed a key generator with combat data." This is done by completing Gambit matches or Vanguard strikes, and it is indicated that Destiny 2's Gambit Prime matches and Nightfall strikes will be the fastest way to complete this step.

From there, a mission called Safecracking 201 tasks players with using a bow to land precision final blows on Vex and Cabal. It is said that this will "constrain the possible set of generated codes" that the now-seeded key generator outputs, and 75 data must be generated to complete this step.

Once this has been done, players will simply need to return to Banshee-44 and get their "biometric authentication" in order to complete a mission titled Applied Cryptosecurity. This will then trigger the final step of the Destiny 2 Leviathan's Breath exotic quest, which is called Martial Archery 401 and sends players back to the workshop to claim the exotic weapon in Destiny 2.

Completing the Leviathan's Breath exotic bow quest does not seem extremely challenging, and players that are able to assemble a fireteam capable of tackling Destiny 2's Nightfall strikes should have an even easier time of it. Indeed, with a bit of patience and time, most dedicated Guardians should be capable of adding the Destiny 2 Leviathan's Breath bow to their arsenals.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
