Completing the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid can earn players some fairly fantastic loot. However, the game doesn't just reward players for completion, as it includes some lucrative loot opportunities on the way: opportunities that some fans have just discovered a loophole in.

Destiny 2 players have now caught on to the fact that they are able to access all of the chests in the Leviathan Raid via unexpected means. Players can access the chests through the walls and floor of the Castellum, allowing them to access that loot solo, without enlisting a full fireteam to help them fight their way to the chests the normal way.

A series of videos by the YouTuber squirelockholmes shows players how they can get out of the map and loot the chests, with the video for the Pipeline and Engine areas posted below. It shows that if the player can get close enough to the wall or floor that the chest is on or next to, the loot action prompt will show up on screen, letting them unlock the content within. On social media, other players confirm that the method is available across all character classes and that Titan, Warlocks, as well as Hunters can use their abilities to pull it off.

The contents of the chest are unlikely to give players a leg up in the Raid, and players have already put together the best strategies for completing the Raid quickly. However, the chests have an Exotic drop rate of around one in three, meaning that it could be well worth a players' time to test out this map bug.

Because of how valuable a bug like this could be, many Destiny 2 players expect the game's developer Bungie to patch it out fairly quickly. Raids are endgame content designed to give people goodies for playing the game so much (and excelling at it), so it makes sense for the developer to act quickly to patch this out.

But some fear that Bungie will take on this glitch before it addresses other more pressing issues with the Leviathan Raid. There is a bug with the Exotic weapon Raid quest, as players have been unable to properly unlock the Legend of Acrius Exotic shotgun. Some fans have even suggested that Bungie could push back a fix for the Acrius quest in order to address the out of map bug first.

At this point, there is no indication that Bungie will be reworking its Destiny 2 patch schedule. The glitch isn't expected to last long, so those who would like to take advantage of it should act now.
