Destiny 2 is one of the most played games across all platforms, and as such, Bungie tries to always offer a lot of different game modes for players to tackle as they please. Endgame activities are often extremely rewarding to play, considering they come with Pinnacle Gear that can help increase players' Power Level, but also with exclusive weapons and pieces of armor that are also very powerful. An example of this logic is Grandmaster Nightfalls, which is the peak of difficulty in PvE aside from Raids and Master Raids like Vault of Glass, and they award plenty of crafting materials and Nightfall weapons to boot.

Every new Season in Destiny 2 comes with seasonal activities like the current Shattered Realm and Astral Alignment, but not all of them are as rewarding as the next. As a matter of fact, one of the fan-favorite activities was Menagerie because of how packed with enemies and loot it was, as opposed to Astral Alignment's shallow rewards and mediocre enemy density. Still, Bungie released a new difficulty for Astral Alignment yesterday with the weekly Destiny 2 reset update, and the community is not happy about it.

The main issue with Legend Astral Alignment is that it feels extremely unrewarding to play for a few reasons, with the first being the additional chest spawning at the end not awarding even armor with 60+ total stats, as opposed to Expunge from Season of the Splicer. As such, a Destiny 2 player and Redditor by the name of Duke_of_the_URL posted a statement that sees the new difficulty for Astral Alignment as the old Year 1 meme of "two blues and a token." This comes from the public event on Mercury, which at the time had been labeled by Bungie as one of the most rewarding pieces of content in the game if completed on Heroic, but the truth is that often dropped blue Engrams and a simple token.

Another user by the name of Dewardalot shared their take on Legend Astral Alignment, stating how pointless it is to run it if not for the achievement linked to it. In fact, it can be useful to run the activity for those Destiny 2 players who aim at getting the seasonal title before it's gone with The Witch Queen. Aside from that, however, gamers have to go through LFGs to actually jump into the activity because matchmaking is turned off even if it is designed for 6 players, and it also takes longer than regular Astral Alignment.

Overall, players who seek seasonal weapons might as well run Normal Astral Alignment with matchmaking twice rather than a Legend one, and still, get the same amount of chests - if not more loot. As for high rolls on armor, players should stick to Expunge and Season of the Splicer Engrams, considering the base stats for those are always very high.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
