The release of Destiny 2: Forsaken’s raid is marching ever closer, and a new trailer has debuted teasing the Last Wish raid just days before its launch. Beware for those who have yet to finish the story campaign in Forsaken, as the trailer contains spoilers.

As seen in the trailer, Last Wish will take place in the Dreaming City, Destiny 2’s new endgame destination. Players will be sent into the heart of the Dreaming City to kill the creature that is corrupting the Awoken race’s home. Much of the voice over from the trailer comes from the story mission that unlocks the Dreaming City earlier in the game. During that mission, it is revealed that Mara Sov is indeed alive, and players hear her character tell Petra Venj to gather the Guardians and to send them into the Dreaming City to defeat the creature that is there. This trailer also reveals the namesake of the raid, as Mara Sov says, “I’ve waited so long to fulfill one last wish.”

It is believed from the story and from the lore that creature and likely the final boss of the raid will be Riven, a corrupted or Taken Ahamkara dragon. The raid gear that players were able to get by glitching into the raid over the weekend looks to confirm that this raid will focus around the Ahamkara.

That level of detail is educated speculation at this point, but all will be revealed when players enter the raid for the first time this Friday, September 14 at 10 a.m. PDT. As always, fans will be racing to be World First, the first team who can tackle the raid and come out on top the fastest. For the first time, developer Bungie will also be giving that World First team a real-world reward—a professional wrestling-style belt to mark their achievement.
