Destiny 2's Season of Plunder sees the return of the King's Fall Raid from Destiny, the iconic piece of endgame content that accompanied the acclaimed The Taken King expansion back then. The Destiny 2 version of King's Fall brought some changes along, and it does include several guns from the original Raid, albeit with a completely renewed pool perk to better suit the game's current meta.
All King's Fall weapons also gained an all-new Origin Trait that's exclusive to them, and it applies both to the guns from the Normal version of the Raid and those from the Master version. Some of these guns have incredible rolls, which this guide covers in more detail.
Qullim's Terminus
Machine guns in Destiny 2 are often not the best weapons to use in most activities because they lack the burst damage of rocket launcher or the total damage of linear fusion rifles, but Qullim's Terminus does have its own niche.
Unlike other machine guns, Qullim's Terminus has a god roll to maximize its DPS. The guns should have Arrowhead Brakes, Extended Mag or Tactical Mag, Ensemble, and Firing Line, with a range Masterwork Frame. This roll combines Ensemble, Firing Line and the Runneth Over Origin Trait to make standing near allies all the more beneficial.
For a different type of content, such as Destiny 2's Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes, the best roll is Full Bore, Tactical Mag, Stats for All, and Killing Tally, with a range Masterwork Frame.
This helps with add-clearing and also dealing with Champions at a fast pace.
Defiance of Yasmin
This sniper rifle has some interesting PvE perks for the current Destiny 2 meta, with Osmosis being a fantastic perk to pair with the Light 3.0 subclasses and Elemental Well builds that also use Font of Might.
Vorpal Weapon and Firing Line are also both extremely valid PvE damaging perks, but sniper rifles are often outperformed by other weapons in PvE. Furthermore, sniper rifles like Thoughtless and Succession are still better picks for the Kinetic slot.
Overall, Defiance of Yasmin is mainly a PvP weapon, and as such the best roll for it is Fluted Barrel, Steady Rounds, Snapshot Sights, and Opening Shot, with either a stability or handling Masterwork Frame.
Midha's Reckoning
While on launch weapons like Null Composure, Glacioclasm, and similar fusion rifles were extremely valuable due to Reservoir Burst, the perk fell a bit off the meta due to the Light 3.0 subclass reworks and the addition of better Primary weapons to Destiny 2.
However, King's Fall's version of Midha's Reckoning has an interesting combination when it comes to the Runneth Over Origin Trait and Reservoir Burst, as multiple Reservoir Burst rounds go into the magazine when reloading near allies.
The roll to look for is Fluted Barrel, Accelerated Coils, Field Prep, and Reservoir Burst, with a charge time Masterwork Frame.
Field Prep is particularly good here because it increases the size of the base magazine, granting more overflowed Reservoir Burst rounds with Runneth Over, and it also provides deeper reserves to make ammo not too much of a problem.
Zaouli's Bane
Full Bore, Flared Magwell, Explosive Payload, and Incandescent, with a range or reload speed Masterwork Frame is the best roll to have on Zaouli's Bane.
This is an amazing weapon for PvE in Destiny 2, albeit with a rather slow reload animation. Still, it's the only gun in the game that can drop or be crafted with both Incandescent and Explosive Payload, making it quite unique and fun to play with.
This way, players can constantly cause AoE damage to enemies, both as they are being shot and when they are defeated.
Overall, Zaouli's Bane is perfect for the Destiny 2 Solar 3.0 builds out there, and it's on par with Season of the Haunted's Calus Mini-Tool in those regards.
Doom of Chelchis
Full Bore, Flared Magwell, Explosive Payload, and Frenzy, with a reload Masterwork Frame, is the best roll overall for this weapon.
An alternative roll is Firefly and Dragonfly, which is a very fun combination when clearing adds as it causes two overlapping explosions - one Solar and one Void.
However, it is a bit impractical to use as most weapons in the game, including other Primaries, make short work of adds in content where the double explosion can do real damage.
As such, a roll with Explosive Payload and Frenzy makes for two damage perks that increase the performance in endgame content like GM Nightfalls, which is where Doom of Chelchis can really shine in Destiny 2.
Smite of Merain
Arrowhead Brakes is great in both PvE and PvP on this pulse rifle because its base recoil direction is 70, meaning that this perk takes it to 100, making it more reliable. Full Bore is an alternative in both scenarios, particularly in PvP, where range is more valuable on pulse rifles.
As for the perks, Smite of Merain can be a great add-clearing weapon with Demolitionist and Firefly, as the kills obtained through the latter provide grenade energy thanks to the former.
It can also be used as a Champion-melting weapon with Focused Fury and Vorpal Weapon combined for a total of 40% increased damage. Also, because all King's Fall weapons have Runneth Over as their Origin Trait, Focused Fury is particularly good here because it procs based on the original size of the magazine.
For PvP, the best option is using Moving Target and Eye of the Storm, with Accurized Rounds to increase range and a Range Masterwork.
