Last week saw Bungie's long-standing multiplayer shooter Destiny 2 enter its 18th season of content. Alongside the newest season, the end of the week brought a familiar raid back to Destiny 2, King's Fall, retooled and reworked to match the current game. As typical with any new raid activity, teams worldwide competed to be crowned the first to complete the raid with Clan Elysium standing tall and claiming said honor.Fans of the renowned competition to claim the title of World's First are probably familiar with Clan Elysium and the team's previous exploits. Clan Elysium first claimed the title last year when they conquered Atheon in the Vault of Glass, and then repeated the feat upon completing the Vow of the Disciple back in May. Their most recent victory in King's Fall marks the team's third straight World's First title.Despite downing the Taken King, Bungie still had to confirm that the raid was completed legitimately which is standard process. The official confirmation comes from the Destiny Twitter account congratulating the now three-time World's First champions after they cleared the raid. For their victory, Clan Elysium earned the Regicide Triumph and will receive another World's First belt.
Clan Elysium's completion of the raid not only benefited themselves, but the general player base as well. Completing the raid unlocked the remaining fragments for the newly revamped Arc 3.0 subclass which can be purchased through Ikora Rey in the Tower. While it's no longer possible to claim the World's First title, players who complete the raid before September 6 can purchase the King's Fall Raid Ring through the Bungie Rewards while players who complete the raid throughout Season of Plunder will gain access to various art and collectable pins upon completing the Kingslayer Seal and earning the Kingslayer Title.
Completing a raid in Destiny on day one is no easy feat especially against all the tremendously talented players and groups the game currently houses. To see Clan Elysium complete this feat not only once, but three times straight is quite possibly a feat Destiny players might not see again.
