Destiny 2 players knew that an exotic sniper rifle called Izanagi's Burden existed because the weapon was revealed in trailers for the Black Armory add-on. But while other exotics Le Monarque and Anarchy have become available, the Izanagi's Burden remained a mystery. Now that the last forge has been unlocked and the Mysterious Box quest can be completed, players' suspicions were correct, and finishing the quest will, in fact, reward the Izanagi's Burden.
The exotic perk on Izanagi's Burden is Honed Edge, which allows players to consume the sniper's entire magazine for an extremely powerful single shot. It's a completely unique perk newly added to Destiny 2, and players are still testing and trying out the weapon to see just how good the it can be.

- Find the Mysterious Box
- Get the Fishhook Key, Butterfly Key, and Hand Key
- Get the Black Armory Key
After the Mysterious Box has been unlocked, players will receive A Mysterious Description Device. Take this to Ada-1. She will provide an item called Unidentified Frame.
Complete a Rare Black Armory Bounty
The first step is to get an Obsidian Crystal for the Unidentified Frame. In order to get an Obsidian Crystal, players must complete a Rare Black Armory Bounty, which players will have to find randomly from daily Black Armory Bounties. Claim the Rare bounty, and the Obsidian Crystal will show up in the Inventory. Consume it, and then it's onto the next step.
Complete The Shattered Throne Dungeon
Next, the Unidentified Frame will call for an Ascendant Glass Shard, which comes from defeating the final boss in The Shattered Throne dungeon. This quest step can be completed this week because the curse in The Dreaming City is at its highest, giving players access to The Shattered Throne. But anyone who doesn't complete this step before the next weekly reset will have to wait for the three-week curse rotation before being able to complete it.
Complete a Special Version of The Pyramidion Strike
The next step in the quest is to collect Radiant Phaseglass by completing The Pyramidion strike; however, this isn't just the normal version of the strike. A special mission marker will show up on Io, so players need to go to Io and activate the strike from the destination. The strike locks players' loadouts and is a 640 level activity with the Solar Singe, Heavyweight, and Extinguish modifiers. Defeating the strike boss will award the Radiant Phaseglass.
Complete "Lock and Key" Bergusia Forge Mission
Lastly, a special mission version of the new Bergusia Forge will become available called "Lock and Key." Complete this 650 level version of the forge and defeat the special boss at the end to finally earn the Not, a Weapon item. Take that to Ada-1 and pick up Izanagi's Burden.
