Although Season of the Worthy hasn't really struck a chord with Destiny 2 players, the narrative this season has been intriguing as it seems to have a major impact on the future of the game. With the Warmind Rasputin taking center stage this season, players have also been working on the currently bugged quest known as The Lie, which brings for former Iron Lord Felwinter back into the conversation as well. As players wait for a hot fix to solve the current quest progression issue, some players have discovered an interesting glitch while visiting the Vostok map.

Following the first step of The Lie quest, Destiny 2 players are tasked with heading to Vostok to scan three objects scattered around the map. These scannable items actually provide additional context surrounding the odd relationship between Rasputin and the exo Iron Lord Felwinter. However, most players may not realize that Vostok is located on Felwinter's Peak, an area included inside of the Destiny: Rise of Iron expansion, which also includes the Iron Temple.

After loading into the zone, the gate behind the player is shut forcing them to move forward into the actual PvP part of the map. However, players can jump on top of the railings in front of them and jump around the back side of the structure to where a suspension bridge is set up. Towards the end of the bridge, the Turn Back warning will stop and the old Iron Temple social space can be explored. Fans have even recreated the classic jumping puzzle from the original game, though unlike that, there is no reward for making it to the top this time. Old Destiny 1 areas like the Plaguelands and starting locations for the Wraith of the Machine raid can be seen off in the distance as well.

Players actually have three chances to visit the old Iron Temple as the mission can be completed once per character. What isn't clear is if this was an intentional Easter egg or perhaps some sort of glitch that came alongside reintroducing the Vostok map as a quest zone. While the temple and mountain are there, the map itself has tons of holes and players can actually get around to the backside of the Temple entrance. However, the map is largely incomplete including the temple space and it's quite easy to fall through the map.

While this just seems to be a fun glitch, many are curious to see where this quest is going to go and how it impacts the larger narrative of Destiny 2. The big revelation this season has been the slow arrival of the Darkness, which fans have been able to track on a week to week basis thanks to a large solar system map in each of the Rasputin bunkers. It's clear a big event is coming and speculation has even centered on one of the current Destiny 2 locations being wiped out by the approaching Darkness. Many believe Titan is going to be impacted in some way, especially since the NPC vendor has had one of her items switch to a limited time offer.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
