Since its launch earlier this month, players have been enjoying a wealth of new content with Destiny 2: Forsaken. In addition to plenty of new gear to acquire, much needed game improvements, and a new campaign centered around a tale of revenge, players continue to discover the many secrets that Bungie has packed into the end game zone known as The Dreaming City. One surprising element missing in the expansion are new crucible maps, a fact which Bungie is going to start fixing tomorrow.

Players looking for new Crucible battlefields to fight on with Destiny 2 finally got some good news this week as Bungie confirmed in a Tweet that the first map is going live tomorrow with Iron Banner. Known as Convergence, it's actually an updated remake of the classic Destiny 1 map known as Pantheon. Formerly taking place within the Black Garden on Mars, Pantheon featured long sight lines, the central area that typically housed the most fighting, and two side corridor which many players attempted to use to flank the enemy team.

Convergence joins the rapidly growing list of remade Destiny 1 maps including The Burnout, which is a remake of The Burning Shrine and added during the Valentine's Day inspired Crimson Days event. In addition to Distant Shore, Bungie also brought back the massively popular Bannerfall map a few months ago, remade to better look like the Cabal had been there during the Red War campaign.

Alongside the new map comes plenty of mechanical changes to how Iron Banner works. The biggest change is that power advantages have once again been activated, so players should equip their best gear before jumping into a match. Saladin has also brought back his bounties, giving players seven to finish in a week. Finally, Iron Banner gear now has three ways to be earned, from match completions, direct purchase using tokens, or spending tokens to increase reputation with Saladin.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
