A member of the Destiny 2 community has landed upon another egregious glitch that makes player characters immune to all sources of damage in a specific campaign mission and the weekly repeatable variant of it. Destiny 2 has received a ton of flak over the narrative direction in Lightfall, but players and reviewers have praised the gameplay and level of challenge in the Legendary Campaign. While most missions were centered on the threat of Emperor Calus, there were some which would have far-reaching consequences like assisting a famed Destiny 2 character.

Destiny 2 has been going through a rough patch since the launch of Lightfall, with many problems coming to light soon after players started completing the campaign missions. The first significant problem that emerged was a progression-blocking bug popping during the quest step requiring players to complete the HyperNet Current strike. Bungie quickly announced a temporary workaround, but other bugs involving weapon damage and Destiny 2's revamped armor mod system soon showed up, leading to a messy week of disabled mods, weapons, and deprecated builds. While there have been other bugs that are beneficial to players, this invulnerability exploit is quite possibly the most broken one since Lightfall's launch.

The Breakneck mission is the first time players divert their attention from the Shadow Legion and take the fight to the Vex, traveling to the CloudArk and fixing the malfunctioning reactor. While the location is a change of pace from the usual open arenas players are used to in Destiny 2, it is one of the most challenging ones combat-wise due to the high concentrations of enemies in small rooms. However, famous Destiny 2 content creator Esoterickk has posted a video showcasing a glitch where players can become immune to every source of damage shy of falling out of bounds, allowing players to get through the claustrophobic combat situations without the fear of dying.

The video showcases Esoterickk clearing the first set of Vex combatants, before coming to the first traversal section. Here, the player waits until a specific dialogue is spoken, retraces their path back to Liming Harbor, and upon returning to the mission zone, is invulnerable to enemy damage. While this Destiny 2 glitch is easy to replicate, it still requires players to clear the initial wave of enemies at the beginning of the mission, where players are very much susceptible to damage. This glitch is most useful for those who want to clear the mission in Master difficulty without dying for the Virtual-Fighter seal.

Glitches that allow players to be immortal are always welcomed by the community, and intrigued players will want to try it out soon. The game's next patch is slated to fix the multitude of problems that exist, and will quite possibly address this glitch and the Deepsight puzzle chest bug in Destiny 2's latest raid.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
