A Destiny 2 player has an intriguing idea for the return of a popular Year 1 Strike that includes a feature from The Witch Queen expansion. Although the current Vanguard playlist has several Battleground activities and Strikes, a number of beloved Strikes are no longer available in Destiny 2.

Each Destiny 2 expansion introduces a slew of content into the popular live-service shooter including Strikes, raids, and a story campaign. This trend continued with the launch of the Beyond Light expansion in 2020, but the expansion's release marked the removal of content from Destiny 2's first few years. Various Strikes, Gambit maps, destinations, and more would be placed in the Destiny Content Vault as part of Bungie's new initiative at the time, but the company readjusted these efforts following extensive amounts of player backlash. Destiny 2's The Witch Queen and Lightfall expansions would launch in subsequent years, adding new content in place of the old content that was once featured in the playlists. The beloved Savathun's Song Strike has not made its return to Destiny 2, but a player offers an idea for how the strike could be reintroduced into the game.

Destiny 2 player Bestow5000 suggests an interesting idea for the return of the Savathun's Song Strike since its main destination, Titan, is returning to the game in Season of the Deep. The player suggests the Savathun's Song Strike returns with various changes such as the inclusion of Hive Guardians from The Witch Queen and new dialogue reflecting the main story of Season of the Deep. Fellow players believe this reprised Strike could be a valuable asset to Season of the Deep while adding variety to the Vanguard playlist.

Alongside the return of the Savathun's Song Strike, Bestow5000 wants the Lucent Brood to play an important role on the surface of Titan. Further, the Destiny 2 player suggests Bungie should add new Legend Lost Sectors to Titan since the destination did not receive substantial updates before its removal in 2020.

The reintroduction of the Savathun Song's Strike could be a boon for Destiny 2 since many players believe there's a lack of variety in the Vanguard playlist. Some players are displeased with the amount of Battleground activities in the current playlist, and new and returning Strikes may remedy some of the community's frustration.

Season of the Deep begins on May 23, so Destiny 2 players have roughly two weeks to finish up any remaining Season of Defiance activities. This upcoming season will continue the main story from where Season of Defiance left off with a new round of activities and weekly quests to complete.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
