With each Season of Destiny 2, players have many different ways of getting more loot. Whether it is acquiring weapons and armor through new seasonal activities, or hunting for exotics in Legendary Lost Sectors, there are all sorts of places that old and new loot can be found.
Just like in Season of the Haunted, players will be able to use keys to chase after additional loot in Season 19. Instead of Opulent Keys, players will acquire a new item called Resonate Stems. This guide will show Destiny 2 players how to get Resonate Stems along with how to use them.
How to Get Resonate Stems
Unlike the Opulent Keys in Season of the Haunted, Resonate Stems can be found everywhere in Destiny 2. They are not limited just to seasonal content. Whether it is a Heist Battleground, a Strike, or even Gambit, players will get Resonate Stems from anywhere in the game. In addition, players can also get Resonate Stems when they open Seraph Chests at the end of a Heist Battleground from the playlist.
What Are Resonate Stems Used For?
After completing the intro mission for the Season, players will want to approach the Exo Frame to claim Resonance AMP. Not only does this item allow Resonate Stems to drop, but it is also needed to turn four Resonate Stems into an Override Frequency. While Override Frequency is listed as a consumable, Destiny 2 players will not see it in their inventory. Instead, the text for the Resonance AMP will update and show a new message.
Throughout each Destination in Destiny 2, players can find floating little diamonds similar to the ones encountered during the Warmind expansion back in Season 3. The Override Frequency will give a hint as to which of these diamonds it will open. The first word tells players what Destination to look at along with what part of the Destination they should be searching.
For example, one area a diamond can be found is at the Anchor of Light on the Moon. If the Override Frequency is for that diamond, players will see the following message on the Resonance AMP.

Once players find the diamond, they can use the Override Frequency to collect loot from it. These diamonds all drop the new IKELOS weapons, so Resonate Stems are a good way to farm for better weapon rolls or even potentially a Deepsight Resonance version of the IKELOS weapons.
Are There Any Other Uses For Resonate Stems
Beyond using Resonate Stems to make Override Frequencies, Destiny 2 players can also use them to focus Umbral Engrams once they have unlocked the ability to do so at the Exo Frame. So Resonate Stems can help players get a little extra loot while also giving them a chance to get weapons with Deepsight Resonance.
