The Lost Forges are a new activity introduced into Destiny 2 with the addition of the Black Armory DLC. To get to the first forge, Volundr forge, players will need to grab the quest from Spider in the Tangled shore, go to the tower, and then gather a weapon core, compound ether, and achieve Hive multi-kills.

Afterward, players will be to open up the director and find the Volundr Forge in the EDZ. Go to the Sunken Isle spawn point and players will be able to find the forge directly southeast of the spawn in a cave called Smidur's Cavern. Once there, Destiny 2 players will need to complete the new activity in the forge.

Of course, as seen below, there are a few tricks to make this new activity slightly easier, one of which is to camp behind a few rocks and have one player nail the boss with Whisper of the Worm. Whisper will keep flinching the boss, and thus preventing it from recovering its shield. The other Destiny 2 players simply need to keep the Whisper user safe throughout the activity. Check this method out in the video below by YouTuber Mesa Sean:

Another key fact to keep in mind is that players can get spawn trapped by the boss, which can make the fight incredibly difficult. Also, at the end of the video, players see that there's a potential surprise to be aware of at the end of this Destiny 2 activity, so eyes up at all times, guardians.

Other Destiny 2 sleuths may be working away at the Mysterious Box, which seemingly corresponds with each of the forges, including Volundr. However, the box itself is not likely to be opened until January 8th, as that is when the final forge will open. And at the moment, there is no telling what is inside, but players are guessing a unique exotic. Interested players should then check on this guide on how to find the mysterious box.

Destiny 2: Black Armory is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
