Earning a reputation is no easy task and it can be quite the grind, luckily for players of Destiny 2, Neomuna features many activities that will give them bouts of XP to rank up Nimbus. Players will want to quickly rank up to Nimbus because of the rewards that they can obtain. Whether they are cosmetic-based or another step towards pinnacle gear in Destiny 2.

The long grind to rank 30 can see players venture on Neomuna in many different ways. Although there are Lost Sectors, Bounties, and other ways to get XP, players will want to keep themselves aware of the best ways to get XP in Destiny 2 to enhance the reputation and rewards from Nimbus.

Complete The Campaign

Those that are invested in the story and lore of Destiny 2 should complete the campaign anyway, but to those that mainly care about the gameplay and rank up from Nimbus then the campaign is the best place to start. Many activities on Neomuna are locked until the campaign is completed, and each mission will reward the player with higher Power level gear and Neomuna XP.

After the campaign, players will have reached Rank 10 just from doing the campaign. It will also further unlock activities to be completed on Neomuna. This destination is different from others, and enemies are not exactly easy to fight, so completing the campaign will be the best way to start getting stronger and more XP for Nimbus.

Find The Regional Chests

There are a total of 9 Regional Chests on Neomuna. These chests only appear once, so once they are claimed they cannot be claimed again. They might grant the player some gear, or some glimmer, but either way, the player will obtain 100 reputation points for Nimbus. Considering there are 9 Regional Chests, that’s 900 XP just for opening chests, and Cayde-6 would see that as a huge win.

These Regional Chests are not hard to find, and they should be completed so that the collectors of Destiny 2 can obtain everything they can. The XP certainly helps, and it is a great and passive way to claim XP. However, it is not long-term, as it can only be claimed once per chest.

Grind Terminal Overload

Terminal Overload is a new and exclusive activity that can be completed over and over again in Destiny 2 on Neomuna. This activity changes location daily upon the reset time and will see players go through waves of enemies to reach the final 2 bosses. This activity is not hard, but it may be time-consuming, and players might have to rely on other random Guardians to drop in and help against the enemies and bosses.

Each completion of Terminal Overload will grant the player XP once they open one of the two chests available. It’s the best way to get XP, as Terminal Overload can be a pretty fast activity with Guardians, and there’s an exploit. This exploit allows players to open the chest for loot and 100 XP, and then ride their sparrow to a new zone, only to come back and have the chest in need of opening again. This can be done once more to get the player 300 XP per run of Terminal Overload if they are fast enough.

Complete Bounties

Another way to claim XP from Nimbus is to complete bounties. Bounties reset daily, and there’s one weekly bounty every week. The best way to grind out the bounties is to complete Terminal Overload and Public Events, as players will be mixing the demand of their bounties with activities that will already give them vast amounts of XP gains for Nimbus and their crafted guns.

Bounties are not only good for ranking up Nimbus in Destiny 2, but they are also beneficial to level up the season pass. All the XP that the player obtains can go into their Artifact, meaning that they are passively increasing their total Power level over time as long as they are completing those easy bounties that always just require the player to kill things.

Public Events

Public Events are another great way to rank up in Destiny 2 for Nimbus. Although Public Events seem to spawn at random, and no sooner than at 30-minute intervals, it is not worth waiting around for them, but when one pops up whilst the player is doing other XP grinds, it’s worth investing into. Players will want to be aware of each Public Event, and how to get the Heroic version for better XP rewards.

Public Events are not time-consuming and are not entirely difficult. Yet, in the Vex Incursion Zone, there is a Public Event that spawns every 3 to 4 hours: Vex Strike Force. This Public Event is rare, with greater XP drops than other Public Events, so players should keep their eyes open for these explosive events.

Patrols

Patrols are everywhere on Neomuna. The digital citizens of this Neptune city require aid, and in doing so, players will obtain XP. These patrols can be as simple as “kill X amount of enemies”, or “kill X amount of enemies with precision shots”. There are a lot of patrols throughout Neomuna, and some can be completed while the player is busy grinding other activities.

Patrols are constantly spawning in, so players should treat them like any other bounty that they have. If a patrol beacon is nearby, then there is no harm in going to it, even if patrols only drop around 20 XP, they are so fast to complete that leveling up will occur in no time.

Lost Sector Farming

Lost Sector Chest Destiny2

Lost Sectors are back and harder than ever in Destiny 2 Season 20. There are more enemies, and those enemies certainly eat bullets like a snack, making for a dangerous Lost Sector. However, it’s a smart idea for players to go through these Lost Sectors to get used to the new system, especially when every day there is a new Legend/Master Lost Sector that can be farmed for the potential of an Exotic piece of armor.

However, the best Lost Sector on Neomuna is the Gilded Percept Lost Sector, which is located on the northeastern side of Ahimsa Park. It’s a great way to get Neomuna Reputation, and out of the bunch, is the easiest and fastest Lost Sector to complete on Neomuna, granting players a chest and XP in a matter of mere minutes.

Cache And Resources

As players explore and shoot their way through the Cabal and Vex-infested sites on Neomuna, their Ghost might pick up something. This marker may lead players to a resource node or a cache which could grant the player up to 20 XP per find. Although it does not sound like a lot, there are so many caches and resource nodes that it’s worth holding the action button for a brief second just to claim it.

Players should not rely specifically on this passive encounter to get XP, as it will take them a long while as opposed to other activities. However, since the Terminal Overload and Patrols will have players running around Neomuna, it’s best to keep those eyes up in search of the cache and resource nodes.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
