Destiny 2's newest expansion, Beyond Light, is well underway and players have a lot to dig into. Outside of the brand-new Stasis subclasses, the expansion brought two vendors to Europa with many quests to juggle. As part of Variks' campaign on Europa, players are required to earn lots of a new currency called Herealways Pieces.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light's campaign has quite a long tail, as the story sprawls into many questlines once the main story campaign has been finished. Variks, now fully embracing the path to peace with humanity, is trying to help as many followers flee Europa's hostile environment. To do so, he needs Herealways Pieces, a classical currency used by the Fallen that he has now introduced to Guardians.

To unlock trade with this currency players need to finish the Beyond Light main story campaign and complete the preliminary Sabotage mission, the first of many. After that, Variks' full Sabotage quest panel will open up, presenting players with some initial Sabotage quests to complete with later ones locked until further notice. Each of these tasks require Herealways Pieces to be obtained and grant a permanent boon upon completion. They are split into three tiers with Tier 1 quests requiring 10 Herealways Pieces, Tier 2 requiring 20, and Tier 3 requiring 30.

Herealways Pieces can drop from doing activities on Europa such as Lost Sectors, Public Events, Patrol Missions, and even killing enemies that roam around - though the last method is hardly reliable. Players should make sure to first spend their valuable currency on Sabotage missions that decrease the cost of further quests acquired from Variks. The Confronting the Enemy quest also grants a great perk for those who can only play for short bursts of time each day.

This particular quest awards an account-wide buff that accelerates the pace at which the first 30 Herealways Pieces of the day are earned by the player. In practical terms, with the buff active, Destiny 2 players will earn 10 Herealways Pieces per Lost Sector run until they get 30, after which each run returns back to awarding three. This buff resets each day and applies to all Herealways Piece acquisition methods.

To efficiently gather Herealways Pieces, players can double dip by picking up a Kill or Collection Patrol Mission and head into a nearby Lost Sector, or do a Public Event in the current zone. This way, they can get the reward of both activities simultaneously.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
