Destiny 2: Beyond Light is giving players another chance to acquire the fan-favorite weapon Hawkmoon. The Exotic Hawkmoon hand cannon is praised by veteran Destiny players for its usefulness in PvP scenarios and its ability to grant bonus damage.

The Hawkmoon hand cannon originally appeared in the first Destiny game as a reward for challenging raids and Nightfall Strikes. This time around, however, Bungie made the gun attainable through quests.

To get the gun, players need to have purchased the Season of the Hunt DLC pass for Destiny 2. Hawkmoon plays a huge part in the importance of the game's plot and will be crucial for completing it.

To begin the adventure, players need to talk to Spider in his lair in the Tangled Shore. After a brief discussion, pick up the quest "As the Crow Flies" from the Spider's inventory. The first phase of the quest is to collect five golden Paracasual Feathers from across the map.

Feather 1

Luckily, players won't have to go far to find the first feather. Head out of Spider's lair and turn left at the door. When players approach the Sparrow buffer, the first Paracasual Feather will be placed on top of a Fallen Box next to them.

Feather 2

The second feather can be found in the northern part of the EDZ map. Players should open the Director, choose EDZ, and land in The Sludge. From there, move forward into the gully and turn left; there should be a bluff for the players to climb. At the top, players should face the forest and turn left. There will be a broken walkway with the second feather glowing on the ground.

Feather 3

For the third Paracasual Feather, land at The Steppes in the Cosmodrome. Turn right, and there should be a giant concrete pillar. Jump up and collect the third feather.

Feather 4

The fourth feather is in the Dreaming City, located in the Divalian Mists landing zone. Players should travel to the entrance of the Blind Well. When they reach the giant gate, the fourth feather can be found on top of a giant pillar on the left.

Feather 5

For the final Paracasual Feather, players should make their way to the Moon and head to Eris. Using a Sparrow, turn left into the Archer's Line and go down the doorway into the Moon. Continue on the path and make the first left into the Shrine of Oryx. Once players reach the shrine, the feather will be on the side of the room next to the stairs.

Once players collect all five feathers, they should fast travel back to Spider's lair in the Tangled Shore and talk to Crow. Crow will then assign the second phase of the questline to the player, titled "Let Loose Thy Talons." Players should first head back to the glowing bird at The Sludge to start the second phase. Payers need to follow Crow until they reach the Hawkmoon statue and pick it up. Head back to the lair to talk to Crow, and this part of the quest will be done.

After sharing what the player learned with Crow, he will want them to collect 50 orbs of power to strengthen the Hawkmoon statue. Gamers should grind the Kingship Dock Lost Sector in the Tangled Shore until they successfully hit 50 points. Once all orbs are gathered, talk to Crow again, and he will update the next part of the quest.

Players should travel back to EDZ, but this time Trostland. A quest marker will lead players to an abandoned building. Once players make their way to the abandoned building, there will be a bird to commune with. Do so, then follow the path and collect all the feathers. The path will lead the player to a final boss who has the last feather. Once defeated, head back to Tangled Shore and talk to Crow for the last step in the quest.

Crow will instruct the player to kill either 200 Guardians or a number of Champions. Fighting the Champions will likely be the quickest route, unless players would like to grind PvP. Players who choose to hunt Champions o meet the quota in either a Legend Empire Hunt or a Legend Lost Sector. Options will vary, as they change each day of the week. When players have successfully killed the required number of Champions, they can reforge Hawkmoon.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
