A new seasonal challenge has been released in Destiny 2, one that requires players to defeat powerful Vex throughout the game to progress. It sounds easy on paper, but consistently finding these specific enemy types can be annoying without proper guidance.

Powerful-type enemies, aka Mini-Bosses and Bosses, have Orange or Yellow health bars, respectively. This guide will help Destiny 2 players determine the best places to farm these enemies to complete their challenge quickly.

Method 1: The Offrey Lost Sector

The first option to choose from is The Offrey Lost Sector on Nessus. Inside this Lost Sector lies up to five powerful Vex for players to defeat. Run inside and reach the Yellow Bar Minotaur and its two harpies. Defeat the two harpies first, then damage the Minotaur until it has 50% HP remaining. Then, two more harpies will spawn. Defeat both the harpies along with the Minotaur.

Players can use this method to secure 10% per run in under a minute if they're fast enough. Therefore, completing the challenge will take about ten runs in total, or ten minutes, and this is by far the quickest method to meet the challenge with ease.

Method 2: Nightfall Strike

For players who are looking to earn some rewards while completing the challenge at the same time, then a Vex Nightfall would be a great place. Fortunately, at the time of writing, the featured Nightfall in Destiny 2 is The Glassway, which is a mix of Fallen and Vex enemies. Watch for Vex Champions such as Overload Minotaurs or Anti-barrier Hobgoblins during the final fight with the boss.

All of these enemies have Yellow health bars, giving roughly 5% per kill. A complete run of this Nightfall should grant about 20% progress towards the challenge. While not as swift as the first method, the rewards, such as an exclusive Nightfall weapon or Exotic armor piece, will be much better overall.

Method 3: Raid

Similarly, Vex-themed raids will also be a great place to find and defeat powerful Vex. Currently, two raids in the game feature the Vex as the main enemy to fight, Garden of Salvation and The Vault of Glass. Both of which have surplus powerful Vex within. Granted, it isn't a solo player-friendly method, but for those who regularly play with others, it's an excellent method to use on the side if someone wants raid loot—essentially killing two birds with one stone, like the previous method.

Upon successfully returning the seventh relic to the Helm and defeating all the necessary powerful Vex, players will have completed the challenge and be rewarded one repute. They can then use their newly earned repute towards a Crew Upgrade at the Star Chart.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
