It's not uncommon for Destiny 2 players to discover ways to cheese parts of the game that involve farming for gear, materials, or even the number of kills needed to upgrade catalysts. One of the most recent examples saw players find a way to skip a whole encounter in the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon by glitching into a wall and using the long-range Stasis Hunter Super in order to deplete the Fallen Shield without ever engaging with the mechanic. Eventually, Bungie removed this Destiny 2 Dungeon exploit since players were using it for fast loot, but there are still many ways to get items easily.

When it comes to catalysts and their required kills with the associated weapon, players often use the renowned Shattered Throne spot where Taken Thralls endlessly spawn. These enemies can be killed rather quickly, and weapons that have AoE damage are often great to use, making farming much faster. However, there are some catalysts in Destiny 2 that are rather easy to complete when doing something even simpler: starting the Forsaken campaign's first mission.

A Reddit user by the name of OfficerRamathorn shared a clip of them completing Graviton Lance's catalyst in a single burst, meaning that they shot an enemy and then sat back, waiting for the Cosmology Exotic perk of the gun to kill enough foes. In fact, when starting the Forsaken campaign, players will find themselves in an area where Fallen enemies will spawn infinitely until the main yellow-bar Cabal enemy is killed. Moving outside the starting area will also stop Fallen from respawning indefinitely, so players who want to replicate this need to be careful where they stand.

With Graviton Lance being such a fantastic AoE weapon, all players need to do is get a single kill and then let Cosmology do its thing, which will finish the whole catalyst in a matter of a minute or two. Cosmology causes enemies killed with Graviton Lance to explode and spawn target-seeking projectiles that will rapidly go onto the next available target. Destiny 2 players who want to use this spot for more weapons can also use guns like Sunshot or Polaris Lance to achieve something similar, albeit with a more active playstyle.

Masterwork weapons generating Destiny 2's Orbs of Power with every multikill is also a testament to how potent they are, even though this is going to change with The Witch Queen expansion. It should be noted that with the upcoming expansion, Forsaken is also being vaulted, meaning that the first mission and its catalyst-farming spot will be gone too.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
