Earlier this week, Bungie released the newly reworked Solstice event for Destiny 2, which now features an event card and Triumph-based progression to acquire an exclusive Seal and title that also tracks progression for the year-round Seal that encompasses all seasonal events. This system came with changes to the core activity of the Destiny 2 Solstice event, which is still set in the EAZ, but this time players are tasked with defeating mini-bosses to acquire Igniters. The Igniters are meant to be thrown at the bonfire in the middle of the map to light it up, and Destiny 2 players can normally do this up to 20 times per run of the Bonfire Bash activity.

The fact that Bonfire Bash normally only allows for up to 20 Igniters being launched into the bonfire also limits the amount of Silver Leaves that Destiny 2 players can convert into Silver Ash. Silver Ash is used to reroll Solstice armor in Destiny 2 to allow players to have customized rolls, which is the main allure of the new Solstice event this year. Launching 20 Igniters into the bonfire means that 20 Silver Leaves are converted into 100 Silver Ash, which is the intended maximum amount per run.

However, as Destiny 2 YouTuber and content creator Cheese Forever reported, there are currently two glitches with the Bonfire Bash activity where players can stack Igniter throws much faster than intended, or they can get multiple times the number of intended rewards. The first glitch makes it so specific melee abilities can be used near the bonfire without throwing the Igniter, but still counting towards the number of Igniters thrown. This works with Ballistic Slam, Consecration, and Howl of the Storm on Titan, or Tempest Strike on Hunter, as the Igniter has a single-use hidden melee charge. Howl of the Storm Stasis crystals count as one Igniter throw each.

The second glitch works with the same technique as above, but this time, Destiny 2 players should first stack a total of 19 Igniter throws on the bonfire and then use the aforementioned glitch to get the total beyond 20 Igniters. The theoretical maximum, in this case, becomes 34 stacks, as a team of three Titans with Howl of the Storm can each make a single Igniter count five times.

This translates into five more Silver Ash per stack of Silver Leaves consumed, meaning that players can get up to around 270 Silver Ash per run, provided they have enough Silver Leaves. Cheese Forever also explains that the glitch can be used repeatedly if Destiny 2 players create Stasis shards to regenerate their melee ability on a Titan, obtaining a total of 500 Silver Ash in one run.

These glitches help players get Destiny 2's new Season of the Haunted Solstice armor and unlock its glow faster, and they will likely be fixed by Bungie as soon as possible. Still, it's not unlikely that the glitches will stay for a day or two, or even up until next week, as the weekend is approaching.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
