Because Bungie opted to go for a live service model for Destiny 2, the game continuously gets more content in the form of four Seasons every year, as well as yearly expansions that provide a good chunk of things to do and look forward to. The upcoming Witch Queen expansion ended up being delayed to February of this year when instead it was supposed to be released in the holiday season of 2021. While Season of the Lost became the longest in the history of the game, running for six months instead of the usual three, Bungie remedied for the delayed expansion with the 30th Anniversary Pack.

This DLC celebrated the 30 years since Bungie's foundation, and it did so by including plenty of Destiny 2 loot inspired by the developer's past - such as Halo-themed weapons. The 30th Anniversary Pack also marked the return of the popular Destiny Exotic rocket launcher called Gjallarhorn, which immediately became a fan-favorite weapon because of its sheer power and its ability to buff allies' rocket launchers as well. Another hit from the 30th Anniversary Pack is Dares of Eternity and, particularly, the cosmic horse NPC it brought along: Starhorse.

A Reddit user by the name of Mergus_Serrator shared their ornament concept for Gjallarhorn, which features Starhorse's traits in terms of appearance and color, as well as Dares of Eternity's own encounter wheel. The design is fantastic, and the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, with many fellow Guardians stating in their comments that they would immediately purchase it if it was an actual ornament. The fan-made Exotic ornament is aptly called Gjallarhorse, and some players suggested that it should make the same sounds as Starhorse in the game.

The reaction to this Destiny 2 ornament is understandable, considering how pleased players have been thus far with Dares of Eternity, even after the recent reputation tweaks, and specifically Starhorse. Gjallarhorn has also seen a lot of use in all game modes, making for an exceptional DPS choice for bosses in PvE or for insane multikill potential in PvP or Gambit.

In fact, a Destiny 2 player managed to kill seven opposing Guardians in Gambit as an act of revenge for being denied 15 Motes, with the help from Gjallarhorn's Wolfpack Rounds. Bungie usually doesn't add to the game any sort of fan-made assets, but at the very least, Gjallarhorse is likely to make the cut in the next TWAB as art of the week.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
