Destiny 2 players are happy with the 30th Anniversary Pack's contents, and this shows through the glowing comments and reviews online, starting from the fun and engaging Dares of Eternity and up to the incredible design of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. Most players didn't expect a Season's worth of content to come with the DLC, plus an extraordinary amount of loot and great weapons, despite the fact that Gjallarhorn's return was one of the most hyped things about the 30th Anniversary Pack. The Exotic rocket launcher was arguably Destiny's most iconic weapon due to how much damage it dealt and the fact that it became a requirement for all sorts of endgame activities.

Adding Gjallarhorn back to Destiny 2 seemed complicated because it meant rebalancing a weapon known for the power fantasy it offered, meaning that it could turn out to be much better or worse. However, the reprised Exotic is in a great state. It's an incredible weapon for DPS on bosses and it's good for general add clearing too, and now Gjallarhorn comes with a new perk called Pack Hunter that substantially buffs nearby allies.

Content creator and YouTuber Cheese Forever, known for their videos showcasing Telesto glitches in Destiny 2, among other things, made a new video about Gjallarhorn's hidden perk and interactions. For starters, despite the perk not being listed in the API nor on the weapon itself, Gjallarhorn does have the Grenades and Horseshoes perk active, meaning that it will detonate its missiles when they are within two meters of an enemy - including those that are near players when they shoot the rocket.

Furthermore, Gjallarhorn's Pack Hunter perk makes it so nearby allies' Legendary rocket launchers fire rockets with Wolfpack Rounds active, resulting in overall more damage. However, what's interesting is that this also works with perks like Chain Reaction for incredible add clearing potential as well as Lasting Impressions for extreme DPS, even though Gjallarhorn remains a very speedy rocket launcher to reload and thus not completely overthrown. These combos are great for PvE content, and they would be insane if rocket launchers got a seasonal mod that's similar to Particle Deconstruction.

For those players who like to use a Legendary rocket launcher along with teammates using Gjallarhorn, the Dawning event will be all the juicier. In fact, a Destiny 2 datamine suggests the Dawning's Glacioclasm fusion rifle will be OP thanks to the combination of Subsistence and Reservoir Burst.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
