In Year 3, Destiny 2 introduced a new seasonal format that features a collection of content that is only available during each particular season. While earned gear is always available to the player, certain activities and the sources of that gear will go away at the conclusion of each season. With that in mind, developer Bungie released a comprehensive list of all the gear and activities that will be removed at the conclusion of Season of Dawn.

Season of Dawn ends and the next Season of the Worthy begins on March 10, 2020 at the weekly reset. For those who were around Destiny 2 at the time that the first Year 3 season, Season of the Undying transitioned into the current Season of Dawn, much of this will be familiar. Basically, anything that is specific to Season of Dawn will not be available once the seasons change.

That means, obviously, the Sundial activity and anything associated with it will no longer be available. The Sundial Spire location on Mercury, the obelisks across the five destinations, Timelost weapons and bounties, and Polarized Fractaline will also disappear from player's inventory or will no longer be available to collect/visit. The entire Season of Dawn economy and everything related to it will be removed from the game when Season 9 ends on March 10.

Likewise, Osiris will no longer be accessible as a vendor since the Sundial destination will be removed. It appears that Saint-14 may still remain in the Tower because he looks to be the voice of Trials of Osiris, which is returning next season. However, Saint-14's quests and bounties will no longer be available, except for the exotic quest for the Bastion fusion rifle.

But while Bastion's quest will remain, the Devil's Ruin exotic quest will be removed from the game with the start of Season of the Worthy. It is an extremely simple quest, so players who haven't yet completed it will want to make sure to get that done before Season of Dawn ends.

The Season Pass and the Lantern of Osiris artifact will also be retired along with its mods and Power bonus to be replaced with a new artifact for Season 10. The seasonal Title and Seal along with any seasonal Triumphs will also be removed. The full list of activities and items being removed are:

  • Season of Dawn Season Pass and bonuses from the Season Pass
  • Season of Dawn Seal and Savior title
  • Incomplete items in the Season of Dawn collections badge will turn invisible
  • Emblems and Shader Quests/items from the Season of Dawn
