There is always a lot of excitement around a new raid in Destiny 2 because of the secrecy that surrounds it and the prestige that comes for those who are able to be among the first to beat the most pinnacle PvE activity in Destiny 2. And this time is no different. With the Garden of Salvation raid quickly approaching, a new trailer is out teasing the raid.

The trailer does not reveal much of anything that fans already know but shows a raid group of Guardians standing in front of a Vex gate on the Moon that will transport them to the Black Garden where the Garden of Salvation raid will take place. The rest of the trailer shows Guardians clad in various versions of armor that are available this season fighting against Vex enemies in the Black Garden.

The Garden of Salvation raid will go live on Saturday, October 10th at 10 a.m. PDT. Developer Bungie previously revealed that once a team of players has beat the raid, it will officially kick off the Season of the Undying and will unlock new aspects of the game for all players. Destiny 2 did something similar back in Forsaken with The Last Wish raid, which added a new mission chain and began the Dreaming City's three-week curse cycle.

It is assumed that after the raid, one of the changes to the game will be the activation of the Vex Invasion Zones that are currently marked on the Moon map in the game but are not yet active. It is likely that Vex will begin transporting onto the Moon in some sort of new public event type occurrence in these places after the raid. It's also after the raid that the new Vex Offensive activity is set to go live, which will also be a result of the raid being completed by the World First team.

Being World First is a big deal for fans, and that team is commemorated by Bungie by way of each of those six players receiving a World First trophy belt from Bungie. But the World First team aren't the only ones who get rewarded. Any player who can beat the raid in the first 24 hours that it is live gets an exclusive emblem and anyone able to beat it before the next weekly reset will be able to buy a special raid jacket for themselves from Bungie's online store.

It has been an eventful week for Destiny 2 with its Shadowkeep expansion launching this past Tuesday, and the hype for fans continues going into the weekend with the Garden of Salvation raid.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
