Destiny 2 is often a game where players' actions can have a huge impact on the outcome of any specific activity, and this is true in many ways. A good example of this logic is how players can secure a Champion kill by using their finisher in a timely manner before the Champion either kills them or starts regenerating its health, and this can make all the difference. Another activity where this applies as well is Gambit, as it blends PVE and PVP elements by having players collect Motes from defeating enemies, and then allowing each team to invade the other's battlefield for Guardian kills.

Gambit has a lot of moments that can change the tides of the match in a split-second, and that's due to its mixed nature and how impactful invasions can be on both sides, depending on the outcome. Destiny 2 players invading the enemy team's battlefield and defeating their opponents can cause them to lose Motes or heal the Primeval if it's already summoned. Still, invading is a gambit in and of itself, since players leave their team more exposed and vulnerable to both PVE enemies and opposing Guardians, meaning it's a matter of responsibility.

What a Reddit user called ggamebird shows in their clip is an incredible outplay maneuver to counter an enemy Titan's Thundercrash Super, which often results in the targets being killed on the spot. The Redditor was alerted of the invader's presence by the Drifter's iconic line and immediately cast their Super to quickly dispose of them. However, the opposing player used their Super as well, and that's when ggamebird came up with the incredible countermove of flying off the bounds of the map thanks to their Daybreak Super and the Dawnblade's excellent mobility.

The opposing Titan followed ggamebird with their Thundercrash, but instead, the Redditor made a spectacular 180 and dashed towards the platform on The Rig. This resulted in the enemy Guardian eventually losing control of the direction of their Thundercrash, thus dying for being off-bounds, much to their dismay. The reactions from the community were priceless, and this once again sparked debate about how each class is mobile to different extents, for better or for worse.

Going off-bounds is not always a bad thing in Destiny 2, as ZkMushroom showcased an incredible cheese spot for PVP, but things like that can easily make for reportable offenses. Still, what ggamebird achieved is an incredible countermove that shows how creative players can get in Gambit while invading or being invaded.

Destiny 2 is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
