Destiny 2 has long had success as a continually-supported game by Bungie. Thanks in part to the release of a brand-new raid, players are again flooding to Destiny 2 and enjoying its content. However, along with new things to do, gear to unlock, and more, an update for Destiny 2 often comes with new bugs to discover.

While some players are taking the game seriously and becoming the World's First to complete the Deep Stone Crypt Raid, others are goofing off, enjoying the content, and finding glitches. That's the case for a YouTuber who uploaded a video tanking an extremely powerful attack from a boss via what seems to be an unintended bug.

The Frozen Emote in Destiny 2 has players freeze in place, cartoonishly covered in icicles. Emotes are not typically designed to give any sort of competitive advantage, but with this bug, the Frozen Emote allows players to survive a deadly attack from Taniks in the new Beyond Light raid, just one of the many extremely powerful bosses in Destiny 2.

Add this Frozen Emote glitch to the long list of Destiny 2 bugs and glitches that have been discovered over time. While perhaps not as egregious as others, like one glitch that allowed players to do solo runs of Destiny in God-mode without taking damage, it certainly is interesting. As far as players are currently aware, there is even the chance that it is some sort of Easter egg from Bungie, as it does almost seem natural to survive a move with the protection of ice.

Comments from players on YouTube and Reddit claim that this glitch only works with this one specific one-hit kill move from this particular boss. Those who are hoping to use it in multiplayer or to tank every enemy hit while unlocking the Lament Exotic sword in the Deep Stone Crypt Raid are out of luck.

Bungie has become one of the biggest developers in the industry. Its success with Halo was undeniable, and Destiny has become its own massive platform, spanning over multiple generations. However, the glitch and bug issue is something that many fans are getting sick of. With any video game there will inevitably be complaints from fans, but the history of bugs in Destiny has gotten very long. In the end, massive shared-world games as a service-style experiences are not easy to develop and support, so bugs will likely always be a part of them.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
