Destiny 2: How to Get a Free Powerful Reward from Bungie

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launched yesterday, October 1st, and many players are on the grind to level up to at least 900, if not beyond in preparation for the Garden of Salvation raid on October 5th. Players are going to naturally reach level 900 by playing the game, which is the soft cap. After 900, it is going to take powerful rewards to keep climbing. Luckily, developer Bungie is offering all players a free powerful reward. All players have to do is sign up for Bungie Rewards, a program outside of the game itself that Bungie has established.

Bungie Rewards has been around for some time, and it is the platform from which Destiny 2 players can claim free stuff from Bungie, including free paper masks, the yearly Moments of Triumph t-shirt, collectible pins for earning Triumphs in game, and more. An player signed up for Bungie Rewards, whether new or existing, can claim a free powerful reward right now.

All players have to do is go to Bungie.net and opt into the Rewards program. Those who are already signed up for Bungie Rewards need to simply click on their profile icon in the upper right-hand corner, then select Rewards on the menu. At the top of the Rewards page will be this prompt:

If there are players who are new to Destiny 2, which may be more common with the addition of Destiny 2: New Light that launched alongside Shadowkeep, they will simply need to establish a profile on Bungie.net and then sign up for Rewards. This will allow players access to get Rewards that Bungie offers and players are opting into emails from Bungie by default.

While this is one powerful reward is not going to give players a huge jump in level as they continue to grind Power, every bit helps especially as players begin to exhaust their powerful reward sources, quests, and bounties in this first week of Shadowkeep's launch. Most importantly, players should wait until after they are level 900 to claim this powerful reward because claiming it before that will be wasting a reward that can help them climb beyond 900. And when it comes to the World First race for the Garden of Salvation raid and the pursuit for the Bungie Rewards raid jacket, players will want every opportunity to get to 920 if possible.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
