Destiny 2: Forsaken is right around the corner, and much like the previous big Destiny releases, Forsaken will be getting a new cinematic, which debuts tomorrow on Bungie’s Twitch channel. The new video is called “Gunslinger’s Last Stand” and will feature Cayde-6 seemingly fighting off the hordes of prisoners trying to escape the Prison of Elders during the campaign’s first mission. Players that want to see this new cinematic should tune into Blizzard's Gamescom stage on Bungie’s Twitch stream tomorrow at 8 am PST.

Every big Destiny expansion or release, including Destiny 2, featured some sort of cinematic or live-action trailer before launch. While most Destiny trailers typically focus on big action sequences and classic rock songs, this video may be a lot darker due to the tone shift in Forsaken. Cayde-6 dies in the Prison of Elders break-out, and it seems like this video will show players how it all goes down in Cayde’s final moments.

Destiny 2: Forsaken’s story kicks off with the death of the fan-favorite Hunter Vanguard, which sends players on a quest for vengeance against the Scorn Barons and Uldren Sov. According to Bungie, in Forsaken, players will see firsthand how the Tower and Vanguard react and change following Cayde’s death. Players may also get to see a new Hunter Vanguard take on Cayde’s role since Cayde will not be returning from the dead.

It seems like this new trailer or cinematic will be a huge send-off for the lovable Hunter Exo. Fans were hoping that the Cayde’s Spicy Ramen quest would do just that, but it seems that the quest has no more steps outside of picking up the expired coupon. It seems that the coupon is meant to be the Destiny 2 equivalent of the raisins fans received from Eris Morn in Destiny, but with a touching lore tab to remember Cayde by. Regardless, Bungie is giving the beloved Hunter one last hurrah tomorrow with this cinematic, so fans should prepare for heartbreak (and perhaps some laughs, knowing Cayde).

Destiny 2: Forsaken launches September 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
