Much like every other expansion that has come to the game so far, Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion is sending players to new locations. And today Bungie showed off a teaser for one of them: The Tangled Shore. The Tangled Shore is the first of two locations being added to Destiny 2 with Forsaken, the other being the Dreaming City, an endgame zone.

The Tangled Shore is where players will likely spend most of their time during the Forsaken campaign, for it is home to the Barons that players will track down before confronting Uldren Sov, as a very audible distressed Ikora Rey notes in the trailer. Bungie has confirmed that players will be able to pick off the Barons in any order, so players will likely be jumping around the Tangled Shore a lot.

The Barons are the commanders of the Scorn, the new enemy race coming with Forsaken. According to Bungie, the Scorn are resurrected Fallen who serve Uldren and the Barons as they wreak havoc across the solar system. It’s currently not known how the Fallen were resurrected, but players will likely uncover that mystery as they progress through the Forsaken campaign. So far Bungie has shown off a couple clips of some Scorn, including one who has a flaming mace-like attack, and one that is reminiscent of a Hive Thrall.

The other location coming with Forsaken is the Dreaming City, which Bungie describes as an end-game location for players to explore and change. The new raid will take place in the Dreaming City, along with other end-game activities Bungie has yet to reveal. According to Bungie, the raid will continue the main story of Forsaken, unlike the Leviathan raid in the base game. Bungie has also stated that the Dreaming City will change as players explore it, and it will not be the same weeks down the line compared to when the expansion launches. Hopefully the two new locations will be dense enough to keep players exploring for a long time.

Destiny 2: Forsaken launches September 4, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
