Developer Bungie has detailed how many strikes will be included in Destiny 2: Forsaken, and it should surprise no one that PlayStation 4 is getting its own exclusive strike along with the expansion. When Forsaken launches this September, it will do so with three strikes on every platform and an extra fourth strike only on PS4.

This shouldn't be shocking to anyone who has followed Destiny for a while, as Sony's consoles have received exclusive content even before Destiny 1 was released. And with the release of Destiny 1, Destiny 2, and every expansion or content drop in between, players on PlayStation consoles have always received something extra. Those extras have included strikes, Crucible maps, armor, and even exotic weapons.

Bungie has yet to fully reveal all the exclusives that PS4 will be getting with Destiny 2: Forsaken, assuming there will be more. But with a full summer ahead before the launch of Forsaken, and Bungie already teasing many more reveals to come during that time, it's likely a few other exclusives will slide into Destiny 2's fall expansion to kick off Year 2.

destiny 2 forsaken will give players a character boost

Destiny and PlayStation continue to stay tightly tied together, with the story reveal trailer for Forsaken being shown at the Sony conference at E3. So it appears that those exclusives aren't going to stop anytime soon.

Also just announced by Bungie, Forsaken will give players one character booster that will take one character up to the current 385 Power and 30 character level to start Forsaken. Forsaken is Bungie's big chance to fix a lot of the problems that have plagued the game since launch, but based on showings at E3 of both the new PvE/PvP hybrid Gambit game mode and the expansion's first story mission, things are looking positive.

Destiny 2: Forsaken releases on September 4, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
