Destiny 2 Forsaken Leak Gives Story Details, Raid Name

With Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion quickly approaching, it seems that some new information has started making its way around regarding the upcoming DLC. Reddit user Ginsor took to the internet with some supposed information about Forsaken, including some major details about the story and the activities players will embark on throughout the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City. While it is a leak and should be taken with a grain of salt, players that want to remain unspoiled should avoid reading further.

First up is all the new information about the raid coming in Forsaken. According to the leak, the new raid is allegedly called Last Wish, which hints at the return of the long-dead Ahamkara wish dragons. While thought to be dead, there may be a version of one still hiding out in Destiny 2’s Dreaming City. While no details were given about the boss, the name is supposedly Dul Incaru, the Eternal Return. Ginsor did note that the leaked information may not be 100% accurate on the boss name. There may also be a one-time challenge for players to finish the raid within the first 24 hours of its launch.

As with all Destiny expansions, new strikes are on the way in Forsaken. This time there will supposedly be four new ones: Warden of Nothing, The Hollowed Lair, The Corrupted, and Broodhold. These strikes will come with a Nightfall version that will have tailored challenges to add some difficulty. The leak then goes on to discuss Gambit, including the new Infamy ranking system. The leak hit Reddit earlier this week, well before Infamy was announced by Bungie.

Also revealed in the leak are the changes coming to clans and clan engrams. It seems Ginsor also correctly predicted the heavier focus on playing with clanmates as well as the introduction of Masterwork Cores to the clan engrams. Forsaken will also allegedly include new Ghost shells of all different shapes, including pyramids and diamonds. Also shown by Ginsor is a fancy new Taken-themed sparrow.

Ace of Spades is one of the many exotics coming in Forsaken, and fans have also been wondering how players will reacquire Ace of Spades after Uldren takes it from Cayde. It seems that when players retrieve the exotic weapon, it will be in a broken form and players will have to embark on a quest to restore the weapon to its former glory.

A new type of activity is also supposedly coming in Forsaken that Bungie has not talked about yet, and that is a “Dungeon” called The Shattered Throne. Ginsor claims that several activities will take place in this dungeon, and it will be pivotal to upgrading an armor set tied to the Dreaming City – much like how players are currently upgrading their Solstice of Heroes armor sets.

Gear Collections are a known feature coming to Forsaken, but according to Ginsor they will also track some original Destiny accomplishments for console veteran players. Some feats include reaching the Lighthouse in Trials of Osiris, completing old raids, obtaining certain Grimoire thresholds, and past Moments of Triumph.

One of the most interesting claims from Ginsor is the motivation behind Uldren’s attack on the prison in the campaign’s opening mission. Supposedly Uldren believes his sister, Mara Sov, is still alive and he receives visions from her telling him to open the Dreaming City. Perhaps the most disappointing claim from Ginsor is that players may not get to kill Uldren, but he will instead be killed by “a creature” when opening the Dreaming City gates, a major let down for fans who want to avenge Cayde-6 themselves.

Regardless of if this leak is accurate or not, there are certainly some interesting claims that Ginsor makes about the upcoming expansion. From the image they provided, it seems like there is some merit to his list, and the recent affirmations from this week’s Bungie blog post makes it even more likely that Ginsor tells at least some truth. Regardless, fans will have to wait until Forsaken launches to confirm these accusations.
