Now that Destiny 2‘s Forsaken expansion is out in the wild, there are surely a plethora of Guardians delving into all of the DLC’s content as we speak, and doing their best to earn access to the action-RPG shooter’s fabled Dreaming City. As an added bonus to the latest add-on’s materials, Bungie has also decided to offer players the chance to snag a copy of Forsaken’s full digital soundtrack for free.
In order to claim the download of Destiny 2: Forsaken’s digital soundtrack at no cost, Guardians will first need to sign up and verify their emails with Bungie Rewards, which happens to be the developer’s new loyalty program. Once this is done, players will then need to complete all of Forsaken’s campaign before the end of September 2018, and then all 110 minutes of the DLC’s soundtrack will be theirs.
In addition to the free Destiny 2: Forsaken soundtrack, future rewards that come from Bungie’s loyalty program will require the completion of other in-game activities, such as acquiring Cayde-6’s Ace of Spades hand cannon, and completing various Triumphs. However, the developer has yet to provide an idea of what exactly players will receive for reaching these in-game accomplishments, but Guardians can at least begin working toward the unlock requirements for the time being.
All things considered, Bungie Rewards is a solid idea to keep players engaged with Destiny 2: Forsaken, but as the days and weeks press on, the studio will definitely need to keep providing increasingly meaningful incentives so that Guardians stay locked in to the grind. That said, it will be interesting to see what the developer has in mind for future rewards, and if the loyalty program for the science fiction shooter sequel goes on to stand the test of time.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
