After plenty of pre-launch details, Season of Dawn has finally arrived for players in Destiny 2. In addition to new modes like the cooperative Sundial activity and loot such as three new exotic gear pieces, season 9 marks the return of Osiris. The exiled Warlock was last seen inside of the Curse of Osiris expansion, though this time around he serves as the primary point of contact for many of the new quests.

Players can find Osiris at a new Mercury destination called the Sundial Spire. After first speaking with Ikora, players will be venturing to Mercury to speak with him in order to begin the new quest chains that take place on the Tangled Shore and Mars. However, many Destiny 2 players have noticed that upon interacting with the Warlock, he may sometimes simply not trigger expected behavior or offer the next step in the quest chain.

Thankfully, there is an easy, but unconventional way to fix this until Bungie officially addresses it. For players seeing a message apologizing for his inventory being empty, the trick is to simply back out of the inventory window and interact with him again. Keep doing this until the quest finally appears.

Based on activity on the Destiny 2 subreddit, this issues seems especially prevalent when starting the Mars Obelisk quest mission, which has a tendency to not appear as expected. Keep brute forcing the conversation with Osiris until he relents and gives up the information. Hopefully, this annoying issue will be corrected before next week where two more Obelisk missions will be added to the game within the European Dead Zone and Nessus.

While this bug wasn't highlighted prior to the season 9 launch, Bungie has done a commendable job with keeping fans updated on current known issues. In fact, the developer posted a list of issues that players would likely run into when booting up Season of Dawn. The issues ranged from simple UI issues, like the Savior seal requiring 28 triumphs instead of the normal 15, to more gameplay related problems such as not receiving credit for finishing the A Matter of Time quest and leaving too soon.
