Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost is set to begin tomorrow, October 29, and it will give players a chance to take a break from their usual grinds in order to enjoy a spooky celebration. Last week, Bungie offered some details on Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2019, showing off the event's cosmetics and Braytech Werewolf legendary Auto Rifle, and now the developer is back with a high-energy trailer that is sure to get many players excited for the festivities.

The Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost trailer begins with the solemn indication that this is "a holiday about death and loss," but such grimness is certainly not all that players can expect from this seasonal event. Indeed, the trailer continues by stating that Festival of the Lost focuses around "hidden identities, beautiful lanterns, and candy," and players will no doubt become quite familiar with sweet treats throughout the event, as candy will be used to obtain many of the festival's items.

From there, the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost trailer kicks things into high-gear, showcasing a group of glowing guardians dancing amidst a laser-light show while techno music plays in the background. The voice over continues, advising players to pay Eris Morn, a character that Destiny 2's Shadowkeep expansion features heavily, a visit if they have not done so lately, and the trailer closes with an invitation to "get spooky."

For many players, the return of the Festival of the Lost to Destiny 2 will surely be met with open arms, and this new trailer serves as a colorful entree to what is on the horizon. However, fans that have little interest in this Halloween event need not worry, as another new piece of content is headed to the title for those that have reached the end-game in Destiny 2's Shadowkeep DLC.

Specifically, a new Destiny 2 dungeon is set to unlock alongside the beginning of the Festival of the Lost, giving players a brand new activity to tackle. It is indicated that this Destiny 2 dungeon will send Guardians into the depths of the moon, and while little more is known, players should plan to bring their best gear and a well-coordinated fireteam if they hope to successfully clear this new piece of content.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
