Loot caves are nothing new to Destiny, offering players locations to easily kill hundreds of enemies, usually in order to collect the dozens of loot drops that spawn after clearing multiple waves. Currently, Solstice armor progression has become one of the primary uses of this new enemy farm, due to the need to kill thousands of enemies in order to upgrade the new gear through Majestic.

Posted to Reddit by user u/PrinceNyx, this is a somewhat older enemy farm that works for farming Solstice of Heroes progress, originally credited to another user by the name of Zeldaman, although further information about this source couldn't be found. Other players have quickly gathered around the original post, both to confirm that this method works for them, as well as to point out other areas across Destiny 2 that work for finding tons of enemies as well.

PrinceNyx actually showed two different locations within the Dreaming City that players can travel to in order to grind out enemies for unlocking Solstice armor in Destiny 2. The first location takes players to the lost sector Bay of Drowned Wishes, which can be found fairly close to the landing zone in Dreaming City. At the beginning of the Bay of Drowned Wishes, players can fight their way past the first few Scourge type Abomination enemies and fight an endless onslaught of the exploding Screeb enemies that will spawn until the shielded Lurkers are defeated.

The second location involves the Corrupted Strike, specifically the version available through the quest for the Malfeasance exotic hand cannon, and utilizing a similar tactic to endlessly spawn enemies. In an early section of the strike, there will be a Devoured Ogre with a yellow health bar that will constantly spawn Shadow Thrall as long as neither the Ogre nor the nearby Knight is killed. Unfortunately, while this method will give players strike kills, it will not count towards the playlist kills challenge required for the Solstice of Heroes event.

Both of these methods can easily cut down grinding time for players, as they are tasked with killing thousands of enemies in order to obtain the glowing armor in Solstice of Heroes. Other players quickly began sharing more options for farming, although everyone who has investigated these methods for themselves reports that it has worked with a number of different weapon options. PrinceNyx suggests using a Whisper 2.0, but others have had plenty of success with weapons like Trinity Ghoul among other guns.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
