Now that Destiny 2's first Season 2 Faction Rally has ended, the video game developer Bungie has decided to officially announce the winner of the event to the science fiction shooter's Guardian-filled fan base. As it so happens, New Monarchy has yet again secured the number one spot, which means that its unique reward is now available for sale as part of Victory Week, which is currently in effect on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

As seen in the tweet below from Bungie, Destiny 2 fans can get a look at the New Monarchy Winner's Offering, which is a Legendary auto rifle named Loquitor IV. Although anyone can purchase it for 50,000 Glimmer, those who pledged loyalty to New Monarchy during the most recent Faction Rally will be able to obtain it at a much cheaper cost for a mere 1,000 Glimmer.

Starting today, Destiny 2's Victory Week runs until the weekly reset on January 30, 2018, with the ability to buy Loquitor IV or cash in Faction Tokens ending then as well. Once the next weekly reset arrives, Guardians will also see the first of many updates on the way for the action-RPG, including the release of Masterwork Armor.

For those unaware, Destiny 2's first Season 2 Faction Rally didn't start off well. Once the event launched, players started noticing that there weren’t any new items dropping from the Faction engrams, which effectively rendered the event useless to those who already had all the weapons and armor pieces they wanted. This eventually led to Bungie confirming after the event had started that the newly added weapons couldn't be obtained at the time, as they were to be incorporated along the way.

Beyond the latest Faction Rally, Bungie has communicated that it is preparing to bring some major changes to Destiny 2–particularly to the Eververse–in a bid to bring many lapsed players back into the fold and boost overall interest in the game. While it's admirable to see the studio attempting to make amends and bring meaningful content to the title, it's understandable why many Guardians might be wary to simply take the developer at its word. Hopefully, though, Destiny 2 will find its footing in 2018 and do right by its fans.
