Destiny 2 features a lot of different elements that make up its gameplay, including sets of abilities over which players have control thanks to classes and subclasses, but also a plethora of armor pieces and guns, with a bunch of Exotics in each slot. This combination of different sources of unique effects is what makes Destiny 2 builds customizable and diverse to a certain extent, even if the game itself has some issues with this specific aspect because of old systems and the so-called FOMO effect. However, having this vast array of items and abilities is likely to cause issues when some interactions become too strong or simply their behavior is not intended.

An example comes from how fast Destiny 2 players could farm Spectral Pages and Candy in the Festival of the Lost up until recently thanks to broken mechanics and inherently rapid activities, which Bungie promptly nerfed. Another example is the interaction between a seasonal mod called Thermoclastic Blooming and Telesto, at the beginning of the Season, which broke the game by generating infinite Supers and Orbs of Power.

Unfortunately, Telesto is once again responsible for a game-breaking exploit discovered by the Destiny 2 community, where the gun's bolts could attach to teammates' bodies in PvP, thus acting as armor against enemy Supers and shots. While the bolts didn't cover a teammate's head, leaving room for headshots despite the "invincibility" effect coming from Telesto, the glitch was too harmful to allow the gun to be used in Trials of Osiris and regular Crucible matches. As such, Bungie disabled it once again this Season, announcing it with a tweet.

The tweet mentions another Exotic that has been temporarily disabled in PVP and Gambit, and that's the Hunters' Raiju's Harness chest armor. Normally an underused Exotic for the Hunters, Raiju's Harness allows Destiny 2 players to not consume Super energy while guarding with Whirlwind Guard. The glitch here was that players could activate their Super, consume almost all of it, start blocking and dodging right before the bar depleted, and keep holding block to get the same deflecting shield around their character indefinitely.

These two glitches would have made Trials of Osiris unbearable for the whole weekend, so Bungie's prompt response was appreciated by the community, even though it's unclear when the items will be restored. Glitches aside, with Bungie nerfing Dunemarchers, Vex Mythoclast, Shatterdive, and more with the Anniversary Pack, players should expect a very different sandbox with The Witch Queen.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
