Since the launch of Destiny 2, the Eververse microtransaction store has been a source of frustration for players. From the sales of individual shaders to exclusive armor sets, the storefront has changed many times due to the player base's negative feedback. Any chance players get to get around the system is welcomed by fans, and the next Twitch Prime reward might do just that.

Reddit user u/JpDeathBlade made a post regarding these upcoming Destiny 2 Twitch benefits, explaining how an item that will be sold in the store tomorrow will also be this month's Twitch Prime reward. An ornament for Tractor Cannon, Mechanist's Trove, will be on sale for Silver as well as being granted from Amanda Holiday for Twitch Prime subscribers. This loophole will save players 1250 Bright Dust, a currency that is hard to come by in the current game's economy.

Saving Bright Dust in Destiny 2 is crucial for buying the season's Eververse gear, due to both the only sources being Bright Engrams and Weekly Bounties, both of which grant a small amount. This is on top of the high costs of items sold for Bright Dust, and the fact that there are items sold only for Silver. Some items cost upwards of 3,500 Bright Dust, with many fans unable to earn the rewards they want without going into their wallets. Bungie has addressed this, with changes coming in Beyond Light in November, but whether these changes will be impactful are yet to be seen.

Recently, Bungie disabled the Seeker of Brilliance perk on the Contender's Ghost Shell, as players were able to farm Bright Engrams from the Leviathan raid in under 5 minutes. These actions have caused fans to call out the developers on the speed of their Eververse changes, many stating that changes that affect the microtransaction store are made quickly while other game-breaking bugs are left by the wayside.

It seems that the Eververse store is one of Bungie's most contentious issues in its game, with many quality of life changes still not addressing issues facing Destiny 2 since its inception.

With Destiny 2: Beyond Light coming later this year, fans are expecting changes to Destiny 2's economy to come yet again, as is the yearly tradition with larger expansions. Whether these changes will be impactful or cause more issues is yet to be seen, but hopefully, Bungie can put the players first and bring some needed changes to their microtransaction systems.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
