Destiny 2 arguably changed a lot ever since its initial debut, considering both gameplay elements and everything related to its narrative. Content draught was something many Destiny 2 players experienced at launch in 2017, but this is hardly an issue now, if not for those times of the year where everything is quiet and players have already gotten most improvements to gear and quests done. Still, with all the issues that have been fixed over time, there are bugs that have been lingering for months or even years.

An example comes from the most recent glitch that is causing Destiny 2 players to be banned over alt-tabbing in and out of the game, and the core bug is something Bungie has been aware of for a few months now. The issue has now spread through a recent video showcasing it, and it is wreaking havoc among the community, with people being banned from PvP activities for two weeks upon getting the Rutabaga error code.

Another issue that has been around in Destiny 2 for a long time is that some enemies deal significantly more damage to players whose FPS are higher than others, as reported by a Reddit user by the name of UselessDeadMemes. This holds especially true when facing a Cabal Colossus, who has a special attack that consists of shooting several slug projectiles across immense distances. Destiny 2 players who have FPS higher than 120 will be one-shot by a single projectile, whereas those with lower FPS will see their health reduced accordingly.

The video attached as proof dates back to April 5 of this year, and it shows how lowering the framerate cap in the Settings menu helps reduce the damage taken by Cabal slug launchers. The same holds true for the Shattered Realm's Hive Tomb Ships, which can shoot players and deal significant damage to them with a single projectile, and again this damage is lower with lower FPS. Players are unsure whether this applies to PvP or not, given how client-side and server-side registration of hits works, but some say that a single bullet can register twice from time to time.

Bungie is releasing a sandbox patch with the 30th Anniversary Pack, which includes a few nerfs to Stasis and Exotics, as well as buffs and other changes. This could be a great time to also address this FPS issue, mainly because it's punishing those who have well-performing machines or consoles.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
