Next week will be a good time to play the Crucible in Destiny 2 with double and triple Valor days coming throughout the week. This will give players an opportunity to greatly shorten any grind that they may be on for Valor resets or quests that involve reaching a certain tier or number of resets for completion. Next week also happens to be Year 2's second Iron Banner, in which players also earn Valor points, so there will be plenty going on in the Crucible to keep players busy.

The week is split into double and triple Valor days in Destiny 2 with double Valor beginning at the weekly reset, October 16 through October 19. Then gains will increase to triple Valor starting October 19 through the 23. Expect that change from double to triple Valor at the daily reset (10 a.m. PDT) on October 19.

Lord Shaxx in the Tower has a number of rewards granted by reaching certain tiers of Valor, which include the Crucible helmet armor for reaching Fabled rank and a Better Devils for reaching Legend. There is also an emblem that is earned by reaching Legend and then resetting one's Valor rank.

How Destiny 2 Forsaken's New Breakthrough PvP Mode Works

In addition to these pursuits, this will be a good opportunity for players who may be chasing the Redrix's Broadsword. The Redrix's Broadsword quest requires reaching the Heroic Valor rank and resetting Valor rank five times in one season. If players are far enough in this quest (which can be obtained from Shaxx), they could make major progress next week.

There's no trick in earning Valor points. It, unlike Glory, increases by playing any PvP mode, with win streaks adding to those gains. Losing will reset a player's win streak but will not take away any points. The only trick here is to play. Winning can help, but earning Valor is all about the grind. At least next week, that grind will be a little more efficient.
