Bungie canceled its final livestream event for Destiny 2's forthcoming Curse of Osiris expansion release, but it's now providing the content meant to be shared on that livestream separately. In today's "This Week at Bungie" blog, interim community guru dmg04 released a new trailer showcasing new weapons, armor, and even emotes that will be found within Curse of Osiris.

The trailer is perhaps not as informative and focused as some players would have liked, potentially because specific details were intended to be covered as part of the livestream rather than in the trailer itself. Instead, the trailer is fast-paced and intended to build hype. The new items are shown only briefly throughout the trailer, acting more as a teaser than a preview. With less than a week until launch, a teaser should likely prove plenty for excited Destiny 2 fans, though.

Armor sets shown feature Titan helmets with large glowing horns, Warlock sets with what look to be salvaged Vex heads as helmets, and high-tech Hunter sets blending the line between Vex and Guardian. Few weapons are shown in action, with only an exotic grenade launcher that fires a tracking grenade and a "solar Coldheart" showcased specifically. The highlights of the trailer are the two epic emotes at the very end. There's a mic drop, replete with neon mic, and a sweeping emote referencing one Benedict 99-40.

Destiny 2 players can look forward to many more armor sets, weapons, and emotes when Curse of  Osiris launches properly next week. There're almost certainly going to be new armor sets from the Vanguard, the new raid lair, and potentially Iron Banner and the factions as well. New exotics will be discoverable, which is especially exciting considering the new Xur fated engram that guarantees a non-duplicate exotic.

As for the new emotes, it seems like Curse of Osiris will retain the current system for earning Bright Engrams. Players will be able to preview the new content of Bright Engrams on the first day the expansion is available. Acquiring those exotic emotes is another matter entirely, requiring either great luck or deep pockets.

Bungie is going to great lengths to update Destiny 2's various reward systems in December, but no revamped reward system matters unless the rewards themselves are awesome enough to be worth acquiring. Today's trailer provided a glimpse at what players can expect in Curse of Osiris. Was it enough? We'll find out in less than a week.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris releases on December 5 for all platforms.
