After a Destiny 2 teaser trailer for The Final Shape revealed the revival of Cayde-6 in some capacity, Crow voice actor Brandon O'Neill teases fans with a potentially big confrontation. It has been a busier than normal week for Bungie as the studio just launched a brand-new season for its massively popular online shooter, Destiny 2. Alongside, Bungie was also active in Sony's recent PlayStation Showcase event, revealing the long rumored game Marathon, while also teasing fans with a new trailer for the expected last major expansion, The Final Shape. While the trailer was fairly short, it managed to pack a real punch with fans thanks to the Destiny 2 return of Cayde-6, voiced once more by Nathan Fillion. As longtime fans may remember, the former Hunter vanguard Cayde-6 was killed off during the events of the Forsaken expansion which launched 5 years ago in 2018. Since then, fans have speculated that Bungie would find a way to revive the popular character, though with each passing year, it seemed less and less likely. Cayde's killer was Uldren Sov, who was the focus of a revenge mission in Forsaken that resulted in Uldren's death and eventual resurrection as a Guardian named Crow. While Crow has since regained his former memories, his personality is vastly different from what it was, though fans are now excited to see what sort of greeting Cayde-6 will have for Crow when they meet again for the first time in over 5 years.

Adding some fuel to the fire is Brandon O'Neill who provides the voice and motion capture work for Uldren Sov and his new Crow persona. Responding to a Destiny 2 fan account highlighting the potential explosive meeting between the two, Brandon simply responded with the phrase "Tick tick..." which seems to signify a ticking time bomb. Naturally, O'Neill is likely under an NDA of sorts, so fans shouldn't expect much more out of him in regards to potential story beats.

Thankfully, fans won't have to wait too long for more answers as to next year's Destiny 2 conclusion to the Light and Dark Saga. Alongside the trailer, Bungie announced a new Summer Showcase event, an annual gathering that allows the studio to show off what it's working on for the upcoming year. Last year proved to be a big one as Bungie revealed Lightfall for the first time, but it also announced a big crossover event with Fortnite while also bringing Destiny 2 to the Epic Games Store.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
