Destiny 2's seasonal model works exceptionally well in terms of delivering smaller bits of content every week, while also keeping players engaged and involved with the game for longer periods of time. This is achieved with a diverse pool of activities and mods from the seasonal Artifact, with a great example being Champion mods for the Season and Nightfall Strikes where they can be used the most. In Season of the Lost, Destiny 2 players are unhappy about Champion mods because they are limiting, and coincidentally, this Season also features those that are considered the most annoying Nightfalls in the game.

These include Hollowed Lair, Exodus Crash, and The Corrupted, which have also been quite buggy for a long time, thus making them the least popular among Destiny 2 community members. All three Nightfalls include tough boss fights that also happen to glitch from time to time, with Exodus Crash and The Corrupted being especially annoying throughout the entire run. For the former, this is the case because of the insane amount of damage dealt by Pikes at the beginning, collecting Arc Pulses that tend to not appear correctly, and the fact that wiping at the boss forces players to backtrack to the previous room for Platinum rewards.

Platinum rewards are exactly the issue for The Corrupted as well, as Bungie even acknowledged, simply because they cannot be achieved in any way this Season. This was very confusing for some players, as the Nightfall itself is not structured in a linear way, where all Champions are found in specific places. Rather, they spawn in between long intervals at the twin Ogre fight, meaning that bursting down either of them prevents players from getting full rewards.

However, as Bungie itself stated, and as a Redditor by the name of UselessDeadMemes explained in a post, getting Platinum rewards this week is not possible anyway. Plus, The Corrupted is full of other glitches that make the experience not very pleasant for Destiny 2 players. As the Reddit post states, Overload Hobgoblins are regenerating health even if stunned, and regardless of their status, they can shoot seeker bolts. Then, the elevator part can be glitchy when initiating the encounter, and it prevents players from accessing it if they wipe.

The elevator is also filled with annoying Taken Phalanxes, which can push the players out of bounds, to their death. As such, the Nightfall is in desperate need of a hotfix, and players suggest it should be disabled until that is done. Still, these issues have been there for a long time, meaning it could take longer than a few days to finally fix them.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
